With all these games backed up and the fact that for the make ups already having no audience could they go back to old fashion overwatch and just not have it lan?

So basically the make up homestands will occur in weeks 6 and 7 in a studio in Seoul. There is also a possibility that games could be added to Seoul Dynasty’s homestand in week 5. The other homestands in weeks 5-7 will not be affected.

Jaru/lhcloudy really impressed me this series

Meanwhile, Fissure was kind of shit tbh. The fact that in my head rn I think lhcloudy was better then him is kind of scary

Titans are really lucky they aren’t 0-1 cuz honestly gladiators deserved the win. If this is the Titans we are gonna get this year I don’t think they are gonna be serious title contenders

With OWL just three days away, I think it's time to discuss where teams will place come the end of the season. So here are mine:

  1. San Francisco Shock
  2. NYXL
  3. Atlanta Reign
  4. Seoul Dynasty
  5. Philadelphia Fusion
  6. Vancouver Titans
  7. Shanghai Dragons
  8. Guangzhou Charge
  9. LA Gladiators
  10. Hangzhou Spark
  11. Houston Outlaws
  12. Washington Justice
  13. Chengdu Hunters
  14. Toronto Defiant
  15. Dallas Fuel
  16. Paris Eternal
  17. Florida Mayhem
  18. London Spitfire
  19. LA Valiant
  20. Boston Uprising

I think people are really sleeping on Houston. Last year they went 9-19 and looking at their additions, they've fixed their main problems enough to push them over the edge. They finished 16th last year, and now they've upgraded at flex dps (Hydration instead of Jake), off-tank(Meko instead of Coolmatt), and at main support(Jecse instead of Boink)

On the contrary, I think there is a higher chance of Vancouver not making the playoffs then winning the title. Reports about the team said there was a lot of internal conflict, with the Titans being largely player run and players turning om each other. The example given is that players on this team blamed Bumper or Tizi for their loses and felt they were bringing the team down, hence why both were released. So you take a team that is already unstable and add the most notorious trouble causer in OWL history with Fissure. Fissure has played for 3 different teams and was pretty much kicked off all 3. This season I don't see the Titans being able to role through teams like they did last year, and with the team already being a bomb waiting to explode, not only do you have a team that has to travel across the world together and Fissure being a match, i think there's a good chance the titans fall apart.

I don't expect him to play unless greyy or kruise shit the bed though so

I think Puckett was good too but soe isn’t a downgrade

Surprised to see Kodak back on the roster after last season

posted about 4 years ago

The concept of each team getting 2 dps, 1 tank, and 1 support ban is what I think it should be too. The difference is I would have the band over the whole match

posted about 4 years ago

Would it be a bad idea for ranked to have the hero pool and the owl to have teams choose their bans?

posted about 4 years ago

Well if the hunters are the only Team out of the 20 teams who play wrecking ball, the play rate is gonna be around 5% which is gonna be overlooked

posted about 4 years ago

It doesn't stop all one tricks though. Like I don't see wrecking ball being banned at all because he on pen and paper isn't a strong here but ameng is so good on the hero that he makes wrecking ball good. So players like Ameng aren't gonna be affected by this.

posted about 4 years ago

This is basically just blizzard taking bans and choosing what they want out. I like the concept but it creates a huge luck scenario for owl if the best heroes of one team are all banned while the other team doesn’t. Like at its core it’s bans but blizzard taking the wheel

Well isn’t the deal with YouTube for overwatch league. Not contenders. And isn’t this just the trials too. Not the real thing

posted about 4 years ago

No I think it’s because it’s so many games going on rn

posted about 4 years ago

Why can’t they be like league of legends and have both

posted about 4 years ago

I don't think OWL cares about diversity in their talent teams. I think this is more that they wanted the top casters and analysts in not only overwatch but esports in general. Now that the league has hit the ground for 2 seasons they are going back to the overwatch focused people. And honestly soe was an obvious pick for this because she not only has 2 years experience being an analyst and knows how analysts like answering questions, but she's just an all around fun and likeable person

I also want to say there was a email leaked on Custa's stream about OWL wardrobe for the season which not only had jaws, but mrx, uber, and the best of all, reinforce who is supposedly returning

https://mobile.twitter.com/Soembie/status/1219891907465072640

Edit: I also want to say that this means we will have no returning analysts for 2020. Either they have left the league or changing roles. So this would mean we are going to see all new analysts for overwatch league. We know custa is confirmed, and while I think it’s unlikely, I want to see reinforce return and avast join.

I don't think it will be right away because large patches need a lot of adjusting. Maybe it will be like every month will be an updated patch

Out of all the positions that valiant could improve, y would they add a player in their best position. Shax and ksf are pretty fucking good

I wonder if that’s y they all say they are stepping down for FULL TIME casting

With all the uproar with Doa, Monte Christo, and Puckett leaving, as well as viewership dropping, do you think OWL is dying?

The other thing to is like since they are only playing on weekends there's a chance you get 2 weeks before your next game. So as I think there is definitely a mental test to traveling across the world, OWL did a good job spacing out these matches so players had a good amount of time do adjust. I'm not saying that its easy for players, but travel ig isn't as often as it is in the NBA. The Lakers play 82 games from November to April, which is 6 months. OWL goes from February to August, which is 7 months but only 28 games

posted about 4 years ago

Does anyone else think that Paris are doing the same thing the shock did in season 1 but instead of sinatra and super it's sparkle?

posted about 4 years ago

The vice colors are a Miami tradition and the valiant just choose a different color scheme that was similar to other la sport teams.
