I think it's kind of hard for his play style to seem super flashy/standout also. To me, Sinatraa is a really efficient kind of chase down Tracer player, where somebody like Effect is way more of a carry.

It's been awesome to see how much variety there is in play style amongst the various Tracer mains in the league though. I feel like Tracer is one of the few heroes that lends themselves so well to illustrating differences in playstyle because of how flexible of a DPS hero she is. I'm actually really excited for reaper to come back into the meta because I feel like he works similarly as well.

It must be exhausting to so intentionally miss the point of things as often as you do.

It's hard to accurately speculate on this since US Law is so murky, but it's entirely possible depending on the severity of what he did. If these allegations turn out to be true, he'll definitely face legal punishment of some sort.

It's interesting how she fits in because she's a lot like Lucio as kind of a brawl-y support. Obviously you still need to peel for Lucio and Brigitte, but she's really great at catching a dive.

You could kind of split off 3 and 3, with Tracer/Winston/Brigitte taking up a lot of initiation, and having a backline DPS that can apply pressure with the space created. I think you'll have to have a DVA to peel for the backline though (like ALWAYS). I don't think you could really play full dive with her though because she'll just get left behind and murdered by a Winston.

I think it might be a bit of miscommunication between EU and NA folks but Pedophilia here tends include any kind of sexual action with a minor. I don't know if the EU definition is reserved just for sex or not, but that seems to be where a lot of disagreement is coming from in this discussion.

If we're going off of assumptions and trusting her word (which we have to for now), Dream sending her sexually explicit images/texts IS actually pedophilia. Maybe it's a cultural difference because I'm seeing a lot of differing opinions on the severity of the matter between EU folks and US people.

What will change the actual severity of his punishment if this DOES become a legal issue outside of OWL will be if Dream ever solicited sexually explicit images from her (and from what we can tell, it looks like he did). That's child pornography, and should definitely fall under the same umbrella as pedophilia since that's really disgusting and a clear abuse of his power.

Twitch has been awful about addressing racist and toxic behavior, they can't be bothered to police their own platform. Especially when their biggest streamers like Dr. Disrespect do that shit (his incredibly racist and awful Chinese accent he used to do all the time).

It's a bigger problem with the culture of gaming at large, where racism and toxic behavior are encouraged by peers, and unpunished by platform holders. You can see this kind of shit on any big stream.

No worries dude, I’m right there with you. It blows my mind that there isn’t an e-sports athlete union and I absolutely think they need to unionize ASAP. You’d hope that the older guys in the scene (coaches, gm’s, etc....) would lead that movement but it doesn’t look like that’s the case.

I mean fuck, even just thinking about the money Blizz got from the twitch contract....the entirety of the player’s salaries probably doesn’t equal 20% of that. It’s nuts how much they're getting away with here.

I think this is definitely a deeper issue then this explanation will explain, but Lebron Jame's was also like 6' 8" and 220 lbs when he entered the NBA so it was easy for people to think of him as something other than a kid. There are obviously some deeper things going on there with how American's view Black youth as anything but, BUT! We won't get into that here lol.

Also, I think people tend to infantilize e-sports athletes because in a lot of people's eyes; video games = childish. It's definitely an issue with the medium of games in general, and probably the biggest issue facing e-sports.

Getting people in front of cameras to do pretty standard and mature interviews like this is good though! E-sports has definitely made huge strides in terms of being taken seriously compared to even just five years ago. It still is a relatively young filed when you compare it to other major sports which have been around for tens to hundreds of years. That's why when Jake and Rawkus go on TV with people who didn't grow up with e-sports you get this dumb "wow! look at these crazy kids and their wild video game thingy!!!!". They just simply don't know!!

Yeah I'm with you on this. It seems like they packed in the features that should be free in with the premium stuff. Like I get paying for an ad-free stream, special AMA's with players, special twitch emotes etc....

But for a second screen that tracks stats and show's alternate angles? I'm pretty sure that's just the standard for other e-sports viewing experiences (somebody can feel free to correct me here if I'm wrong) like in DOTA and LoL. It just feels kind of shitty for them to do that, especially when they need to be cultivating all of the good well they can with their audience, and actively working to bring in new viewers. One of the big barriers to entry for new watchers has been being confused and overwhelmed, and not being able to keep track of the game. these tools would help that out so much, and it seems backwards for them to lock it behind a paywall.

This just got announced today by Blizz.

What do you guys think? I'm one part into it, one part against it because I feel like a lot of these features should be included in an in-game spectating client. However, all of the behind the scenes content is really something that I'm interested in. I love learning about their production since it's so nuts. Also, ad-free stream = a blessing

The feature is free for everybody until the 15th, so I'm curious to see how well they implement these ideas.

I think we all knew this was coming, but damn. I think that's a really great pickup for LAG though! Loved what I got to see in the brief moments that Silk got some playing time, and going to a team as creative as LAG will help him flourish.
