Just win one map SHD and I'll be satisfied.
If Seoul runs Gido/Munchkin over Jehong/Fleta again, I'm done.
The only thing the constant roster swapping from Seoul has shown me is that they have virtually no depth. They need Fleta, Ryu, Tobi playing in every match and piece the rest of the lineup around that.
I'm actually heart-broken.
That's right, I forgot about Zappis, thanks
As many already know, AKM has been recently signed to Dallas Fuel. However, there are still a large number of unsigned players who are still LFT and plenty of teams who need the depth, talent and help.

I personally would love to see shadder2k, buds, Dogman and Kruise find teams. Who are you guys rooting for to find a team before the FA signing period ends?
This is like watching my children fight against each other, I'm so torn.
No ZerG :(
Buds on the same level as Linkzr?
Ok.
Fleta and Jehong were right about what? They said CM69 and Muma were the best tanks or ...?
SEO coming into this week on a mini slump while Houston is redhot after a sweet lower-tier team farming spree. I still give the edge to SEO as they will definitely be looking to bounce back quickly.
SHD are at least making it interesting
I'm genuinely curious as to what the pro players would actually want if given the option to have the nerfed Mercy in professional play the moment the patch went live. I can't imagine most of these players want to continue playing Mercy, but what do I know I'm just a low masters pleb.
Taimou on McCree map 1 HYPE
Clockwork in for Linkzr, still no Mendo spotting.
Should be a close, exciting match.
LAV 3-2
Rare Haksal spotting
Nice to see Lucio making a comeback, those Mercy nerfs can't come soon enough.
As much as I like AKM and as much as he deserves a place in OWL, this seems like another questionable acquisition for DF unless there is more than is being spoken about in regards to Taimou.
That's just Striker being Striker. In my opinion he is the most aggressive player in pro OW next to Pine. Guy just oozes confidence in his play which is why I was hoping Taimou would start this week to try to control him.
I'd agree with you most of the time about things like this but Taimou has been pretty transparent lately about his state of mind ... RIP PMA. I feel like he's probably frustrated with his current role on the team.
I actually feel bad admitting how much watching SHD lose today crushed me and borderline ruined my night.
I find myself rooting for them before matches and getting disappointed afterwards more and more. That underdog syndrome is strong with these Asians. Hoping they can at least chalk up one W before the season is over. They're definitely putting the work in.
It wasn't pretty but a win is on the board for DF.
Agreed. Despite any language/cultural barriers, when they join BU's team voice channel, they do an excellent job communicating with each other. Definitely the biggest surprise team for me this season without a doubt. I seriously slept on these guys.
You can sub players in between maps, unless you mean there is something that is keeping Profit from playing tonight altogether?
Might be time to put Profit back in ..
Great effort by BU on map 1
Really hoping Dallas plays Taimou on McCree to try to tame Striker (BU's best player imo). If Taimou can control Striker then I think that opens up EFFECT to take the match over.
DF 3-2
There would be no meta if OHL was gone because the game would be long dead.
Wtf are all the downvotes in this thread lol
Match of the week! Really hoping NYXL starts Pine at least one map and that Seoul brings Fleta back into the starting roster after giving him a rest vs. SHD.
Seoul 3-2
Heartbreaker for LAG, they were looking really strong the first two maps. Super entertaining match, WP LAV!
That's a relief. I remember getting Lunar Colony in comp the day it released and no one (myself included) had played the map before. It wasn't pleasant.
I would fake the flu 24 hours before this match if I was on SHD.
I'm repeating myself? Do you lack self awareness? You're the person who butted into a conversation you have literally no place entering. You don't know shit about CSGO and it's very obvious.
You act like 9 (it's actually 8) different winners over the last 12 majors is something that suggests diversity? For starters, it's been 12 majors over the course of more than 5 years. The French superteams Envy and LDLC were the same team just a different organization, same w/ the Brazilian LG and SK teams. But you wouldn't know this, because you don't watch CSGO or know what you're talking about. So 2 by NV/LDLC, 2 by SK-gaming and 3 by Fnatic. That leaves 7 out of 12 majors won between 3 teams. How very diverse. I feel like I'm talking to someone who reads about CSGO through Wikipedia. It's so obviously transparent.
Now to get to your general, bolded point. I find CSGO stale and boring because it's old, stale and boring. Same players, same teams getting worse every year. OW is new, fresh and full of new players, teams and talent that are reinventing the game and the meta. That doesn't exist in CSGO. But then again you wouldn't know that, because you don't watch it or know what you're talking about.
What I don't understand is you're trying to talk about CSGO like you actually have a clue about what is going on in that game, or what has ever gone on in that game. You also admitted that you didn't watch CSGO, just read news here and there which is why I commented about your ignorance.
Let me ask you, do you even know what the top 10 in CSGO is? VP is going to go 0-3 in this year's major and will more than likely do some form of drastic roster change. NiP didn't even qualify for the MINOR, let alone the major. Shox, a legendary player in the game's beginnings hasn't made it to the playoffs in a major since Katowice 2015, 3 fucking years and his team G2 hasn't played up to it's potential since French mix 3.0. But of course they're all doing just great. Don't even get me started on the other side of the French mix of EnvyUs, they aren't even worth talking about with how abysmal they've been.
This leaves you with C9 who hasn't been good since sgares stepped down, fnatic who hasn't been good since 2015 and went through several roster changes, North who is struggling to be a middle tier team and Astralis who is about to get bounced out of another major early.
Maybe you should actually watch the games you comment on because reading what you write just cracks me up. You're actually clueless, like listening to my dad talk about CS.
Great match. WP both teams.
Like I understand why NYXL starts Libero - he is their projectile dude, he's a great player and they're winning all their matches pretty convincingly ... but Pine :(** It's going to be insane when Flower is eligible too.
LAV FIGHTING!!
I'm calling it right now - this is where DF turns their season around. They play SFS > Boston > Philly > NYXL > SHD over the next 5 matches. With the exception of NYXL (who I think they can beat if they come into that match on a roll), those are all very winnable games.
DF starts the ball rolling with a 3-1 win here.
Edit: after watching Sburn/Carpe vs. NYXL and Striker/DreamK vs. London in those back to back upsets ... I think DF might just outright be outgunned in terms of DPS. I hope I'm wrong.
This is the risk you run when you pick up Twitch personalities with questionable judgment and composure. Hopefully xQc gets his act together and DF can just move on and focus on winning matches and not PR drama.
As if DF needed anymore distractions. What a disastrous start to their season.
And here is commercial thinking 101. So a game is interesting and exciting if there is money involved? Good to know. Glad to know that line of thinking that has ruined a vast majority of things I love in real life has slowly made its way into online gaming too. It's like you actually work @ Activision.
But I can understand as a casual outsider who reads HLTV every now and then w/ a very limited amount of knowledge of what they're actually talking about could have that perspective. You saying that there are only a "few teams that fit that criteria" in terms of having over-the-hill players, now that is the most retarded, obviously uninformed statement I've read. Look @ the current top 10 in CSGO, if you can recognize any of the teams or players w/ you would know that most of them have been shadows of themselves for well over a year, with the exception of SK-gaming.
But hey, if I watched games simply for the prize pool I'd only watch DOTA2 and I'd only watch it once a year for the International because that's the only tournament that matters because money and sponsors are the only things that make games relevant.
Right?
Great interview! Like a lot how he gave props to chips, JjoNak and Ryujehong.
