It just doesn't lend itself well to the current ticker design.
To win, C9 must win 2 Bo3s, FaZe only needs 1 (upper bracket advantage). Bear with me, this is a little odd of a final setup.
First Round
Hollywood - C9
Lijiang - C9
Ilios - Not played
Second Round:
Route 66 - C9
Hollywood - C9
Dorado - Not played
I have no idea what happened to this team. They used to trade wins with Misfits. I loved their aggressive playstyle. :[
Really entertaining tournament thus far.
Trulli is id_'s new name (it's his real life last name). He didn't like being stuck with iid since he couldn't get the underscore.
Wolf is only standing in for Connor.
I love how the title implies that it takes two people to replace Mangachu.
See you later. See you later. See you later. See you later. See you later. See you later. See you later. See you later.
BRB, building my time machine so I can skip the next 9 months.
I think top 3 is warranted for now for exactly the reasons you say it is not. EnvyUs became a known quantity over time, so counterplay was easier. Lunatic-Hai's strategic approach and individual techniques are still novel. It's very possible they will trend downwards with more exposure if they don't keep switching their play up.
And this is why LW Red is on the list in spite of them getting scant notice outside pro circles. Pine is at least Esca's equal, and many say better. Awesome Guy is the best Winston I've ever seen outside Miro.
Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame. Whatever the cost.
So let's set a reminder in our calendars for 3 months, 6 months and 12 months from now and revisit which team and which players have prospered. Anything else is just hot air.
If you're signed to a team, I'd be happy to. Streams are pro players only.
Not really. "As a result of these additions, Daniel "Gods" Graeser and Mark "Pookz" Rendon have decided to step down from playing competitively for NRG"
Yeah I had gotten fonder of Gods over the past few months.
Clockwork is like Dummy's best friend and a former TF2er, so it's not much of a surprise. Numlocked is more surprising.
I still think they missed out not picking up Ryb.
Pretty sure we're going to get treated to excellent Zarya on Zarya play, since Miro will really need to play Zarya to counter Hymzi.
Doh, I forgot Zunba was a Zarya player.
Probably because of this. http://i.imgur.com/Xm5SkqH.png Iddqd spreading falsehoods about Envy at Gamescom. (There was no partying but Hulk did go out and had stomach issues all night.)
Iddqd is still contracted to Fnatic, and I'm sure he's obeying the wishes of the organization in not discussing this.
Hanamura was a tie. Lijiang Tower was the tiebreaker.
Gods has a deep hero pool and did a great job this series. By having a flexible core they are playing to their strengths, which is an advantage not a weakness.
Great games, this was good Overwatch.
It's better for me than watching APAC at 3am.
Sorry, relied on incorrect info from GosuGamers. You might want to inform them as well.
VICI was the #2 Chinese team coming out of qualifiers, so no one knew how that was really going to go since the Chinese teams were not well known to the West. We knew the Koreans would come in strong, but not this strong.
I think Evermore is or was #1 on the Korean ladder.
What is the current NWA lineup?
I didn't know trolls were called memers these days. It sounds so much nicer. ;)
I saw them do that successfully on Numbani in qualifiers.
The Bastion mind games <3
Yeah just wanted to reflect who was playing the matches, but this is trial lineup.
Misfits literally inched out Rogue
Zzzz
Ed: WHAT IS HAPPENING
Both teams are playing beautifully.
I think the issue is that phrasing makes it look like Shane left as a result of Overwatch Open when Shane was just temporary for the event so it's really not so newsworthy.
Both teams really wanted it. I had to stop watching at one point, I was too stressed out.
