The team formerly playing under ANOX, captained by Anak, has decided to leave the organisation now that their contracts have ended, citing critical disagreements as their reason for not continuing.
The Russophone roster has been playing as ANOX since the beginning of June, when it blended with 4-25. Their recent showings included a last place defeat in the Overwatch Open, losing 0-2 to Rogue and LG, and a 2nd place result in the Gauntlet Cup, narrowly defeating new French team Bonjour 3-2 then losing 2-3 to The Chavs.
These are not good results for a team hoping to excel in tier two of Europe and start contesting the top sides, but Anak believes that the team is simply young and will only need time to show its potential.
Team captain Anak spoke about the split:
Our terms of service for ANOX were coming to the end and we had disagreements with the organization in some key aspects of our current and future progress as the team. So we decided to part our ways with them.
We are gonna stay together and will try to find a new home.
The team has received preliminary offers but is still searching for a new organisation. For now, the team will continue participating in European online competition under the name Slav Squad.
The Slav Squad roster is still:
- Artem "kensi" Budiak (DPS)
- German "Nesh" Kobrin (DPS)
- Arthur "Arty" Tishchenko (Flex)
- Normunds "sharyk" Faterins (Tank)
- Ruben "Rubikon" Zurabyan (Support)
- Kiryl "Anak" Nikalayenka (Support)
