Major League Gaming have today released the groups for their forthcoming $100,000 MLG Vegas Overwatch Invitational. Announced one month ago tomorrow, the event itself will see eight teams and thousands of fans flock to the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, on the weekend of December 16th-18th to settle the question - who were the kings of North America in 2016?

No details yet on the exact tournament structure, but one would expect to see two teams progress from each group whether that be by good old-fashioned round robin or the more prevalent GSL style four team double elimination.
Group A
- EnVyUs
- Fnatic
- Rise Nation
- compLexity
Group B
- Cloud9
- FaZe Clan
- Team Liquid
- NRG
It is still uncertain who will be filling the vacant sixth spots for two of the top contenders. Hafficool is set to play with Fnatic at this weekend's DreamHack Winter event and MSI's MGA 2016 Finals in London, but has not officially been confirmed as a Vegas attendee.
Meanwhile, Mickie is currently hoping to extend EnVyUs' dream run in OGN's APEX to the Grand Final, if they can take down KonDoo Uncia on Friday. Mickie has already successfully attained a US visa once this year to represent Thailand at BlizzCon, but would make EnVyUs the only entirely non-American roster at an MLG event that has declared itself locked to the North American region.
