Finnsi joined the Eternal after being a part of the 2018 Los Angeles Valiant roster, and did not see any stage playtime during his time with the Valiant. After his release from the Valiant, he was later announced to have joined the Eternal alongside eight others.
Similarly to Finnsi, ShaDowBurn also joined the Eternal after departing from another Overwatch League team in the inaugural season. In ShaDowBurn's case, it was the Philadelphia Fusion, who released him following their runner-up finish in the 2018 season. Similarly to his now former teammate DANYE, he had to compete with a few other DPS players already on the Eternal roster for stage playtime. In fact, he didn't even see playtime until the fourth week of the first stage. He was also not seen during the entirety of Stage 3.
As for DANYE, he was not seen in official league matches until the beginning of Stage 2, and only saw playtime through the third stage. He did not play any during Stage 4. The departures of DANYE and ShaDowBurn leave Paris with only SoOn and NiCOgdh as the team's DPS players.
Rounding out the team's departures is lhcloudy, who, like DANYE, did not see any playtime until Stage 2 of the 2019 season. In Stage 1, French main tank BenBest played every match in the stage, but lhcloudy would be the team's sole starting main tank during Stages 2 and 4, while splitting playtime during Stage 3.
Currently, the Eternal have six players and two staff members. In the past Overwatch League season, they finished in 14th in the overall season standings behind the Valiant and ahead of the Fuel.
