Asking cited poor results, a loss of passion for the game and a trade between the Valiant and Uprising this season that fell through while Asking was on Uprising Academy as reasons for his retirement.
He first entered the pro scene in the summer of 2018 when Asking made his Trials and then Contenders debut as the DPS for 6nakes. He later joined the Uprising's academy team, at the time Toronto Esports, in October of that year. He remained with them until April of this year after the team finished eighth in Contenders North America East.
Asking joined the Samsung Morning Stars roster prior to the start of the most recent Contenders season. He and his teammates made it into the top six of Contenders Europe by map score, but were unable to win any matches in the playoffs.
The Morning Stars currently have just one DPS player on their roster.
