Only one player from last season remains on the team while others have transitioned to staff roles for the team.

Flex tank Janitor is Second Wind's only returning player. He will be joined by fellow off-tank frd and main tank Akawa on the front line. They will be protecting supports CarCar and Haku , as well as DPS Reiner , saucy and Ezire .

Former support Pew , who previously left Second Wind prior to their Trials Season 2 run in June, will join as an assistant manager to team owner Justin Hughes. maid , who coached Team Singularity in Contenders Season 1 and Kanga Esports in Contenders Season 2, will be the team's head coach. Flubby will move from support to an assistant coach of Second Wind.

While the team has brought in seven new players to their roster, many of the incoming additions have played together before. CarCar and Haku have played as the support line for both Kungarna and Mirage Sport Électronique. While at Kungarna, the two played with DPS Ezire. Additionally, Akawa and sit played alongside each other for GOATs, who will now be one of their opponents in Contenders Trials.

Second Wind went winless in Contenders Season 2 and were thus sent back to Trials for Season 3. They must finish in the top four of Trials to qualify for Contenders Season 3. Their first match of Trials is against GG Esports Academy.
