OWL Hero Statistics/Information

Hello all!
I am a huge proponent of the OW community and love this website. I am curious if the statistics and numerical data from all the OWL games are being recorded and compiled? Is that something Blizzard is stockpiling? Are they displaying it somewhere that I am not aware of? Is it accessible at all?
I think it would be fascinating, as data supply increases, to be able to see hero pick rates, accuracy averages, damage/min average based on hero or player, comparisons, etc.
What do you guys think? Would that be a welcome addition to the website or just more number crunching that no one looks much at?

They are working on that on OWL site :D...not sure when they will launch it...

Number crunching is always good imo, makes space for nice discussions, call'em bar discussions, but that's what keeps the interest in a game alive.

As poi said Blizzard is working on it, doubt that anyone outside of the "circle" (with proper access to all in-game stats) would be able to put something together besides the more general consideations, best maps for each teams, best matchups, etc.

I know this will NEVER happen in OWL, and probably is best this way, but you don't know how much I'd like to be able to watch the matches in-game (e.g. Dota2).

The only fact i can see this usefull is that people who watch streamers will come to watch their streamers in game..but hinestly even if i would like sometimes watching only my boy SDB i think OWL production and casters are doing a great job and this is probably the best way to enjoy this!

True, but you also have in-game tools (speaking always of Dota2) to check stats/gather more data on your own.

I used to watch a lot of Dota 2 (used to play it quite a bit as well) and ended up sticking for the majority of the game to what the actual casters were spectating while checking on my own other stats that were ingored during the match.

But agree Overwatch is a "completely" different genre, and it works well as it is, yet... damn I really wish I could just get into SDB's POV too :D

I believe there's also some statistics information on WinstonsLab?

I may be wrong though.
