Shanghai Dragons is still the best name so far
LA Gladiators is better than Dallas Fuel though.

I'm warming up to fuel though because the logo and colours are cool but it still sounds like an energy drink or petrol station.

I don't know man. Seems like the first person who threw a mainstreamish name for a sports team got it. What does Gladiators have to do with LA or Overwatch anyhow ? :thinking:
Honestly prefer Dallas Fuel over LA Gladiators, but that's just me.

I don't know that each name has to be localized like that. I mean pro sports already does that and the teams move and they ended up being racial stereotypes and stuff haha. I think making the names something non-localized is different and appeals to a younger crowd so we dont end up with a Cleveland Browns of eSports.

Gladiators are awesome and the logo has the potential to be sick!

Fair point. I just thought it was too generic, like picturing them in a team meeting brainstorming about names for 5 hours then you get this one guy that just wants to get the fuck outta there pitching the LA Gladiators lol.
I can see the logo and skins being really good, I hope so at least, it's just the name that sticks for me when introducing a new team.

Also LuL at Cleveland Browns, made me chuckle.

Gladiators has more to do with OW/gaming in general than fuel that sounds like an energy drink but both names are pretty shit, then again how many of these big US franchises across any major sport have names that sound good.

Such a boring name. They might as well call themselves the "LA eSports Team", or maybe "LA Generic Name", or perhaps just "Kroenke's LA Thing".

I agree, can't help but feel they had a look at the LA Kings and wanted something as "epic" even if it is very generic for an e-sports team, do hope the logo is amazing though or it just smacks of them not giving a shit so we will see.

To be fair, the largest sports venue and one of the most famous venues in the world is called the LA coliseum so there is a pretty strong connection there.
