Splyce, the esports event and article hub, announced today that they were branching out into Overwatch by signing Fine, I'll Go McCree.
Splyce is most well known for their DPS player, Steel, who has a large history within CS:GO and was incredibly successful before becoming embroiled in a betting scandal. The other five players on the team are all previous TF2 pros after a recent roster swap which saw previous support dhaK swapped out for cozen, and although the team haven't been competing in a vast number of tournaments recently they have the potential to be a top level contender in North American.
One would assume that after joining Splyce we'll be seeing much more of this team in regular tournaments, but they are currently working hard with coach Blackstar and analyst Victor to improve their game before the large tournaments touch down.
Team captain PYYYOUR spoke to theScore about the recent moves for Splyce:
Splyce.gg is relatively new to the eSports scene in terms of having teams compete in multiple games. Once we did a little fact-finding we were quite astonished at the level of immersion they have within the scene," he said, adding that once the team was able to speak with the organization's management "it quickly became clear that our goals fell in line with their goals.
Thank you to Splyce for the opportunity, thanks to my teammates for going on this journey and shoutout to my buds on 'Mixup.' We are coming for you!
