The Philadelphia Fusion have announced they will be unable to participate in the upcoming Overwatch League preseason because of player logistics issues. The San Francisco Shock will now take their place in the opening preseason match against the Florida Mayhem.
(2/2) We apologize to our fans in Philadelphia & around the world who were looking forward to our preseason competition. Please stay tuned for news surrounding opportunities to connect with our team and win Fusion gear in advance of our season opener on January 11th.

With players originating from nine different countries, as well as two more nationalities represented by the team's coaching staff, "player logistics issues" presumably means the team has not yet gotten enough players from its roster into the United States to participate. Despite the setback, the Fusion assured fans in their tweet that the problem would be resolved before the start of the regular season in January.
As a result, the Shock will be playing in back-to-back matches to kick-off the Overwatch League preseason. Their first match will be against the Florida Mayhem while their second match will be against the Los Angeles Valiant.
The Overwatch League preseason begins this Wednesday at 7 p.m. EST. The preseason matches, just like all other Overwatch League matches this season, will be played on the LAN client at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles.
