Not sure how legitimate this is, but if it's indeed true, I didn't see this coming.
In case people couldn't view it, it's allegedly the FNRGFE roster with Mendo replacing buds.
Hard to tell. Obviously optic would sign more than just six players, so even if they signed that core of FNRGFE, it'd be unlikely that all those players would be starting. Mendo, Muma, and Coolmatt would be guaranteed starters, but they might want to add to that core a bit more with other perhaps stronger support players and DPS. All theoretical though.
penda [#4]Why would anyone take mendo over buds? Mendo is like twoeasy because he’s been kicked from a ton of teams but he difference is that twoeasy actually has had success with teams. What has mendo done?
He's friends with flame.
Seeing TwoEasy and Mendo in the same sentence makes my teeth grind tbh.
I personally don't think Buds is a top tier player, but if you're gonna take 5 players of a team that has been consistently improving over the last few months, might as well get the whole squad. Or perhaps Mendo has more public appeal than Buds ?
On a side note (I don't want to create a thread based on a twitch rumour), there's a guy with a 1 day old account going into channels 'leaking' the Boston team. According to this guy, it is Kyb, Mistakes, Fischer, Dreamkazper, Snow, Note, Striker and Gamsu. Make of it what you will, but if it is true, this squad might get stomped.

This lineup is pretty good. Mistakes and kyb, fisher are not bad. Also he bring a little core from TO eSports. Not a great lineup but i like that.
On paper the EUs are good, but too many specialists imo. Plus Kyb has been really struggling since he took a break from old eUnited, he was rolling on his Genji. Fischer has a deeper hero pool, and Dream will be their hitscan player most likely. Haven't seen Snow and NotE play so I don't have an opinion on them, it's more about the FAs that are available in their spots.
Also never seen Striker play, but Gamsu has a really good reputation.
I don't know, compared to the other teams that we already know of, this one looks really weak to me.

Kyb struggles only during Contenders season 1, before he was doing a real good job...even with tracer imho. Mistakes is amazing and fisher can play both projectile amd flex supp at high level(and this is good). Probably the Dream Mistakes ticket will be the same of IMT Soon and Grim. Snow and Note are good players as sub imho(dont know if OWL worthy...probably not but they works hard). Gamsu is pretty good and i domt know Striker. Yes they have the otp problem but i think they are not that bad as i expected...also happy for my boy kyb fisher and Mistakes

Again, this was just some guy on twitch posting it, I don't wanna get your hopes up about the EU boys too much Poi.
And after a quick look up, Striker was in ROX Orcas with TyDolla and crew before, don't know which role he plays, I'm guessing offtank.
It's also a good balance they have, 3 EU, 2 NA, 2 KR. But overall, the other thread about Harsha's thoughts on the Boston team makes more sense now. Hopefully they can make something happen.
I don't remember exactly what Striker plays, but I'm pretty sure it's DPS. Geguri was the offtank of the team this past APEX season. I remember not being all that impressed with the ROX DPS players, and there are definitely better options both in and outside of Korea for OWL teams when talking about any player on the old ROX roster.

No problem my man! I think this is true cause the last TO lineup and twitters of this players make this thing probably. We will see.

Yep i think thia roster if true had some really good names and some others who are mhe imho. The problems is that they need one more support imho. So our god fisher can better flex to projectile if needed.
poi98 [#14]So basiccaly, if true , they have problems on flex/offtank and main support. Plus theh need a sun flex supp. But overall they are not that bad.
Actually I forgot that NotE was an offtanker, was half asleep this morning LuL. Which leads me to believe Striker will pick up Lucio, or Snow on Lucio and Striker on flex support.
Fischer has a deep enough hero pool to cover a large portion of the heroes they'll need, but still, not enough depth in this roster imo. Still need to see this whole thing in action.

Fisher will play flexsupp anyway but i agree with you on seeing what will come

Really ? What a waste honestly. Only guy that can flex DPS heroes in the whole team on flexsupp ? That's questionable... His Zarya and Dva were not close to being the best, but he was pretty good on a bunch of damage heroes.
#18 That was my first reaction too.

LOL sorry my bad i confused Shax with Fisher.....XD
Anyway this is the role with these players:
Dps:
Fisher ( main projectile but he can also play some hitscan at really good level like soldier )
Mistakes ( godly tracer but he already plays on support with tornado Rox and his offtank is not that bad as its hitscan, so is most flexible of what people thinks)
Kyb (projetcile and roadhog at very high level, he has also an underrated tracer and he can plays some hitscan and other offtank at decent/good level)
DreamKazper ( can play at high level hitscan and he i think he can play a really good offtank so he can go as offtank maybe)
Offtank:
NotE ( can play also dps but he is a good offtank, i think he is in mostly for knowledge with HUK but who knows maybe he can exit with some great performances)
Maint tank.
Gamsu ( good player)
Support:
Snow is a main supp( he is also here from HUK? I think he is a good players.... i hope his shotcalling is good)
Others:
Strikers: he played dps on Rox Orcas. But i have seen an Striker account ( dont know if he is him) who played mostly off tank and all support hope its him or they dont have a flex supp lul
As Dps they are really good: Mistakes/dreamkazper ticket for hitscan Kyb/Fisher for projectile. they can cover all dps postion at pretty high tier. As Offtank Striker / Dream / NoTE can be good ( dream dont play old Dva but Note yes sooo..) they can be good as not but on the paper they are not really competitive. As main tank they have a Mid tier Main Tank who is pretty solid imho. As support they have Snow ( good shotcaller but he never really convinced me) and as flex? Strker? hope they find some better options....like Hidan or Dante or Boombox but they are not that bad

LuL you scared me.
Also I'm pretty sure Luddee was main support and Snow was flex on TO.
I mean maybe they have good chemistry and this squad worked out for them.
And it would be a crime if no one picked up Boombox, be it just as a sub for his Zen.

you are right! i said that cause he played main when Mac was on the team (and played flex) . So considered he is not a top tier flex supp i supposed he was going on the lucio roles. But he can also go flex so we will see....their problem is the flex supp imho
skweerty [#24]if Dreamkazper really gets into an owl team but akm not we know this shit league is rigged
as sub he is a pretty good option with his heropool even if i think he wil play offtank
If that's truly what the Boston lineup is... harsha was right. There's some good players, but tbh, only Fischer, Dream, Gamsu, and MAYBE Mistakes are OWL material.
I see what AKM meant by some teams having completely unproven DPS players. It's fairly obvious that if this is the roster, it's because a majority of them we're all buddy-buddy with HuK.
