The eight competitors for the OWPS Summer playoffs have been decided, with SKG, Team CC, Oh My God and Team Celestial now eliminated from the tournament after placing in the bottom four of the regular season standings. Playoffs teams will compete for their share of the 990,000 CNY (~$143,550 USD) prize pool as well as tournament points that are used to decide the competitors in the Premier Series Grand Final.

The playoffs are played in a single elimination bracket, with placement matches for 5th-6th place and a Bronze Final. All matches will be played in a best-of-five maps format besides the Grand Final, which is played in a best-of-seven maps format.

Teams

Miraculous Youngster qualified for the playoffs with a perfect record in the regular season, winning eleven straight matches whilst only dropping five maps in the process. They are by no means a lock to take the tournament home however, as fellow playoffs team LGD Gaming similarly had a perfect record in the Spring Series only to falter in the Grand Final at the hands of 1246.

Alongside the hefty amount of prize money available, tournament points will be distributed to playoffs teams, with the eight teams who amass the highest amount of points across the Spring and Summer series qualifying for the Premier Series 2017 Grand Finals:

• 2nd: 150 pts
• 3rd: 100 pts
• 4th: 45 pts
• 5th-6th: 35 pts
• 7th-8th: 25 pts
