I haven't watched any VODs of them on this tourney, but how are Misfits losing maps to tier 2 teams so often? After their performances on APEX I guessed they'd roll every EU team other than maybe NiP, doesn't seem to be the case though

EU teams are a lot better than they look. I honestly think many of the "tier 2" teams in EU are on par with the likes of LG evil and selfless. Unfortunately we won't know until a lan.

I agree that it's kinda disappointing, the only reason they even won this game was because of a last second clutch to tie the series and send them to oasis. I was personally hoping they would completely dominate the EU scene but I guess these still are only online games and we have to wait to see what happens on LAN.

it seems like all the EU teams (which are in the PIT at least) are pretty close in skill.

There's a lot of talent in Europe. Teams like Hammers, Movistar Riders, Dignitas, NiP, and eUnited are legitimately contenders with Misfits at that kind of level. Korea is not that far ahead, though they have a really deep pool of talented teams. NA also has Selfless, LG Evil, C9, and Immortals, along with the 'imported' teams of Rogue and EnVyUs that are around that level. Korea is strong, don't get me wrong, but the West has some teams that can compete on the same level.
