LDLC and GamersOrigin are two of the favourites for the upcoming Montpellier Esports Show, a €9,300 French BYOC LAN tournament.
This 24-team event features a wide spread of the French scene, including the new Team YP and Death eSport, and will take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th February.
Prize Pool Distribution
- 1st: €3,000
- 2nd: €1,800
- 3rd: €1,200
- 4th: €900
- 5th-8th: €600
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 13:00 CET with the group stage. The 24 teams will be divided into four groups of six teams, each group playing a round robin to eliminate the bottom two teams.
At 19:00 CET on Saturday, after the round robins have been played, a single-elimination playoff with the top 16 teams will begin. Each game will be played as a best-of-five, running until the semifinals at midnight.
On Sunday 25th February, the bronze place match will start the day at 10:00 CET, with the final following to determine the eventual champion of the Montpellier Esports Show.

GamersOrigin recently came 2nd in the StriveWire Monthly Brawl, losing in the finals to eUnited. Earlier in the tournament, GamersOrigin had helped knock LDLC out in the groups; the latter then lost to Grand Danois to be eliminated in their first showing with the new additions of kensi, Anak, and NokSs.
