Damn close game, Liquid was clearly the better one in the end though!
Myself they are doing good job assuming that its legit first time them to cast Overwatch.
But yeah, no we wont get different casters for this event.
Anders + Semmler + CoD guys i guess? Correct me if im wrong.
Also this game is under year old and competitive scene is pretty much around GosuGamers (Hex + ZPS) that have highest experience of casting. Well i hope hype goes higher in next few weeks!
I think it's good in the long run that the scene is attracting big names from other games. Biggest oversight to me is not having Hex involved. Great series Liquid played well
Well, Hex is mainly running Gosu stuff since he has still normal work :) , He deserves to get salary and live becouse his casting skills imo.
I mean this is the biggest tournament to date. Seems like not the best place to practice. Maybe I'm wrong.
Well schedule was pretty fast when matches start etc. And getting new casters cost lots of money and Semmler + Anders we're already paid becouse CS
These guys are WAY better than the other casters barring the ESL guys when they're on a good day, and the small errors will iron themselves out over the tournament. The technical aspect and their flow is just far and away above the others, and the analysis is there even if it isn't totally in depth. It doesn't need to be though because they throw it back to the desk and they're doing well.
Shows that ZP and Huk are great on the analyst desk as well imo, where ZP belongs. Rachael is working well as a host too when I've not been a fan before, I'm impressed with the overall show plan and how cleanly it's being executed.
Huk has some really annoying flaws in the attitude he presents his analysis and seems to thrive on feeding his ego as a former top pro or getting predictions right yeah. But his analysis is pretty on point, he has good insight into teams, and the fast pace of the show means he doesn't get to be as annoying!
I agree that we should give the new casters a chance but I'd rather have actual new talent instead of reusing casters from different games that haven't followed the scene and don't know much about the game. That being said I understand why they were chosen to cast eleague and they did a fantastic job so far.
No, sorry that wasn't a fantastic job. Overwatch doesn't really have a wide variety of casters for now. But these guys were completely lost in the pace, didn't know what to look for. They just followed what the screen was showing at the time losing track of the kill feed, off camera ultimates. As was said earlier - the main event is a bad time to practice.
