This comes after their exit from the Overwatch League postseason.

Lilbow joined the Defiant coaching staff last offseason in October. He was initially signed as an assistant coach but took over interim head coaching duties after the team's original head coach, Féfé, retired in April.
The Defiant were 4-9 in regular season matches while Lilbow was the team's interim head coach; they were 3-5 prior to him taking over. The high point of their season was their semifinal run in July's Summer Showdown tournament.
This change comes after the Defiant's 8-14 season—they earned a bonus win for their placing in the Summer Showdown—left the team in 15th in the regular season standings following their 17th place finish in the 2019 season.
They now have three remaining coaches: Barroi , Mangachu , and Gl1tch . Barroi has been with the team since they joined the Overwatch League prior to the 2019 season. Both Mangachu and Gl1tch joined the team this year. Mangachu became a coach following the dissolution of the Defiant's academy team and Gl1tch joined the team's coaching staff in July after previously coaching Talon Esports.
Adam Adamou, an owner of Defiant parent company OverActive Media, said on Twitter more changes will come soon.
