The Spitfire now have one remaining player on their roster from the 2019 season: flex support Krillin. He is one of three players currently on the roster, the other two being BERNAR and Fuze, who they got in return for trading Fury to the Fusion.
Additionally, the Spitfire have no remaining players from their 2018 championship roster still on the team. Bdosin was the last remaining player on the Spitfire from that roster.
Bdosin's departure from the team was unexpected as the Overwatch League contract status page stated he began the offseason under contract.
Quatermain, on the other hand, was the only member of the Spitfire roster to begin the offseason with his contract status subject to a team option. Players who were not under contract by November 11, including players with pending team options, became free agents.
The Spitfire are in the midst of massive changes to both their coaching staff and their roster. The team added three new coaches earlier this offseason. Prior to today's move, the team had already traded three players and released three others since the beginning of the offseason.
They must have eight players signed to their roster by November 15 to meet the league minimum.
