Huge :candle: and best of luck to the man in his future experiences.
"By default" I'm a Paris fanboy (gotta support some EU OW), but damn if it's great to see the Hunters play and win.
A pity not seeing him play on stage in a more DPS focused meta, but...
Kind of expected and, a person needs to do what he/she wants to do, wishing him GL in his streaming career.
Midna died for this :(
Just to cite another player who went the "streamer" route, except being Italian... GL
Great article btw
When OW was already global, but very disjointed there were teams that were trying to mix their rosters, those Immortals were a real great team.
Everyone can have his/her own considerations, I do for sure, but just wanted to wish goodluck to another veteran of the scene retiring.
GG TItans, great match and comeback!
Personal MVP? Super, the better Rei in this match despite all the hype about Bumper (who's anyway great, a succesful version of Fragi :D )
There we are, game 7 Hype!
Whoever wins, GG both. :)
Super is the reason the Shock are in this match tbh, all (literally everyone) huge dva bombs from Choi were on top of one of his shatters.
Whoever wins check at the end of the match the comparison betwen his shatters and Bumper's.
Also "Super...bad" eh?
The kid is landing a ton of shatters
As long as it's not another onesided 4-0 I'm fine tbh, the semis were a bit of a letdown. :(
Well GG Shock, wasn't even close.
Weak schedule I believe, if you check their matches they could have gone without losses but didn't face any of the top teams.
I think there are few teams worst suited for this (dying) meta than Phillie, reason being Carpe is no near as good a Zarya as the top tams' ones.
This first map was pretty one sided, I'm not a big fan of Sinatra, but ehi bodied Carpe and the whole Fusion.
GG Phillie, have to agree with EQO, wasn't the best showing, but a win is a win.
And still damn great to see Atlanta consistently win the maps with Torb. :)
Carpe might not want to play with Fragi, but honestly for this stage with how prevalent Reinhardt was I'd given him a chance, Sado is a good tank, but an average Rei imo (for this level).
Also for sure he isn't a Jjonak, but don't get why people keeps understimating Boombox he just carried them on King's Road, and yes I know he used to have sometimes weird ults, the keyword is there thou, used.
Agree, with such a small sample size, whatever kind of seeding would have been "eh".
Then again Dynasty intesifies and matters even less. :D
p.s. nope I'm not a Dynasty fanboy, but being a grumpy EU guy I love redemption arcs and underdogs!
That's huge (in a negative way) for the team, the guy was an ultie machine on Zarya.
Lol nope it's just crazyu keeping track of all these different teams tbh :D
Well I could then say, replace NYXL with Justice and Defiant with Valiant and they could have gone 6-1? :)
See I'm not saying they had a very difficult Schedule, they had an average one, which are usually the best one to evaluate the level of a team
Well a bit onesided, a pity some signs of life form Boston, but clearly not enough to beat (or actually even scare) the best team of stage 1.
So no Titans vs NYXL during these playoffs, hopefully on Stage 2 playoffs?
So weird that some teams don't face eachother for 2 full stages. :(
Oof this was a close one, Eternal Academy def improving.
True, but is not like it was any different than Huston, Dallas or London, teams that came just behind them
Boston = NYXL, Outlaws, Dragons, Dynsaty, Defiant, Mayhem, Fuel
Huston = Defiant, Uprising, Spark, NYXL, Mayhem, Valiant, Reign
Dallas = Shock, Dynasty, Charge, Fusion, Dragons, Dragons, Uprising
London = Fusion, Eternal, Justice, Spark, Gladiators, Dragons, Dynasty
OH thanks mate!
And yes agree if you are "rewarded" by a countdown screen, might as well leave the ads on. :)
Well robokun has a point, but also agree with you, ads aren't going away (or diminish) anytime soon, if anything they will slowly increase.
Btw what happens to ppl with the season pass? Do they still see all the ads? 'cause if that's the case, there I'd see an issue.
All these changes (well most of them) to nerf the GOATS meta, hate to say this, but maybe introducing a hero like Brigitte at the time they introduced her wasn't the right choice?
Meanwhile Monte is hinting that there's discussion in Blizzard if not to implement 2-2-2 locked roles comps, which could be both good and bad (imo more bad than good), but are we sure that Blizzard could rebalance everything timely ('cause that would be mandatory) and not kill the game?
That said let's hope we don't get tunneled in other 12 months of only dive or even worse (imo) another Mercy meta.
Rofl, Apply: Battle Angel, Twitch chat sometimes is amazing. LUL
Oof Aimgod popping off.
Also is always nice to see Fusions' teams play .
You know I was literally thinking of him during this match, probably not as good as Soon and SDB as a pure DPS, but clearly better as a Zarya.
London starting slow also this year, except there are way less matches to play. :/
You are probably right, still is not like EU players get English as a free upgrade. :)
Now I can get it for a Korean player who just joined the league (SanSam), they are "lucky" enough not to need to play with other nationalities and still have a very competetive scene.
But players who spent a full year in NA (Gido, Ado and Janus) if they can't communicate in English... well it's their fault.
I like both Soon and SDB, but damn if their Zaryas are weak... you can't go far in GOATs like that.
Also how many times did 2-3 ppl from Paris die to "random" bombs?
GG Paris for a struggling victory and GL next Washington the win will come!
Paris struggle is real
Wolf please
"Paris Eternal all speaking the same language"... yes cause the players learn it, only 1 English speaker in Paris, 4 French and 1 from Iceland
So close, GG both!
Damn have to wake up in like 3 hours, but can't quit this match!
Ashe, Widow and Hanzo, Hunters always doing it their way!
And Tracer + Phara... they rolled Vancouver on Hollywood :O
Let's speak with 3 of the best Reinhardt players, Muma, Gesture and ok Fissure...
All known for being way better at Winston than Rei... oh well. :)
Btw let's go Dragons! :)
GL to Lateks, depression is always an ugly beast.
Yep I sort of expected too.
The idea that at the start of the stage they weren't worried to admit they struggled beating EU Contenders teams in scrims, wasn't the best signal.
Well for sure they looked more coordinated, but yes probably due to the match
1 year as caster in the top OW league and Semmler still doesn't know how time bank works...
EDIT
But is something wrong with him? Just noticed he looks, I don't know tired, out of it
Oof Fissure already benched?
Wolf about the 1st map: "much closer than the fans would have expected!" Which fans?
NYXL fans? Sure, I would believe the Shock's ones not so much?
As for everyone else, most people consider Shock one of the top 3-4 teams this season, why shouldn't the game be close?
Wooo SDB!
Also, I'd honestly try Greyy, tonight (but also vs Atlanta) Hyp is doing a lot of mistakes imo.
And again is the 5th time only in this match they use both defensive ulties together...
Holy, is enough for Vancouver to lose couple of fights and Mr X already hinting at sandbagging...
"We are 7", but no sign of Custa anyway? :
Btw is cool to see teams slowly starting to work on their entrance, some might find it cirngy, but I honestly like the effort. :)
Is not like they are winning the maps with Dogman thou, I don't think that the issue
I'm a Paris fan, but I highly doubt Paris will win the stage, or even this match.
In their last one vs Atlanta they played really poorly (and Atlanta played good tbf), Titans look even stronger than Atlanta...
