Some people on here take a forum way too seriously, why does everything have to be positive? why does he have to write an essay when he starts a thread? sure he could've wrote more but calm down ladies, stop taking this forum too seriously. No shit he shows a negative bias when he's talking about 11k viewers, how can you possible turn that into a positive?

He opened up a thread with no effort to get other reactions regarding the title yet all we see are people crying about a lack of effort, fact of the matter is he isn't wrong the the numbers ARE low and I don't believe it's because Misfits are not that popular anymore, we're talking about the best teams in Europe, the ENTIRITY OF EUROPE OW and we are getting max 15k viewers, it is sad.

"11k isn't that bad especially when you put it into context"

What context? that only 11k people can be arsed watching the best EU has to offer?

And this is a new lineup with barely much practise but people do like an excuse, just like Enyvus being burnt out when they get beaten yet didn't suffer from burnout when winning APEX, hilarious. Eunited are below par today and Gigantti are showing how good they can be if they perform.

posted about 7 years ago

The entire Eunited team is getting outplayed hard, Vallutaja hasn't turned up but then again who has, based on this "performance" Misfits will wipe the floor with them tomorrow easy.

posted about 7 years ago

Kyb is a top class dps but christ, has he done anything in 4 maps? Logix is showing him just how good an elite tracer is Ithink it's time for him to go back to genji because on tracer I ain't seeing him do jack.

posted about 7 years ago

Movistar Riders, a very good team that sadly disbanded.

posted about 7 years ago

Don't think it's pressure they're just losing out to far better players, this C9 roster is good but on a good day they don't stand a chance against Misfits and the likes of Eunited in EU for me personally..

posted about 7 years ago

Wc3 is no doubt easier but my point was we could watch what WE want not be dictated by someone else, if I played tracer I'd love to watch the best tracers in the world, how often do we get to see tanks and supports? rarely, yet if I mained winston I'd love to have that ability to watch winston as much as I want and this alone would make OW much easier to spectate because you don't have to switch between 10 players every minute, it is confusing so you can make it as confusing as you want.

Them interacting doesn't mean they give a shit, them giving people what they actually want will show how much of a shit they give, when has Blizzard talked about implementing a spectator feature or demos? talk is cheap, people are annoyed at the way we spectate OW and it's up to Blizzard to fix it, don't interact with the community because that ain't gonna do jack, actions speak louder than words.

posted about 7 years ago

You will ALWAYS miss something juicy at any given moment in a 6vs6 high paced game like OW and nobody will ever be happy, if we see a genji killing 3 with an ult the support players will be crying they missed out on some sick lucio ult and vice versa, which is why a game made in this day and age expecting to be a good e-sports title should have a system that lets US watch through the game just like games have done for decades.

I remember watching WC3 and having the ability to watch whatever I wanted and same for the likes of Q3 (iirc?) and CS 1.6/GO yet OW has absolutely piss all in terms of spectating whether it's live or demo related so we are always forced to watch whoever the observer wants to watch and as I said, nobody will ever be happy and rightly so.

You'd think with Blizzard trying to make tens of millions out of the OWL and have it in major cities across the world this wouldn't be a problem at this stage of OW and in 2017 yet they don't seem to give a shit do they, I mean honestly how hard could it be?

posted about 7 years ago

eUnited are better in every aspect so should be a 4-0.

posted about 7 years ago

People look at the flags and think they will have problem communicating, do people not realise just how good Scandinavians are at English? I'm sure Logix can speak some as well but I'm going for a Misfits win, only worry for me is Cwoosh on tank but still be surprised if C9 win.

posted about 7 years ago

Makes sense but not that much, makes me wonder why he went Lucio and knoxxx went tank instead of him staying Lucio and winz being the tank but he still won't leave OW just yet.

posted about 7 years ago

I'd be surprised if winz left one of the best OW teams on the planet so close to OWL to play a new game that might not take off like Q3 back in the day but it's always worth thinking about I guess.

posted about 7 years ago

I guess he's referring to the UK flag if indeed he is Egyptian, either way I still think NRG should just pick up all four of them to me at least that would be a pretty sick team.

posted about 7 years ago

Is this a better roster than what C9 had? they looked pretty damn good at times but shit at others but I still feel it's better than the current LK lineup if C9 but time will tell, good time for NRG to snap up most of the leftover C9 lads and form a team for the first time in an age.

posted about 7 years ago

I don't know the NRG roster apart from Harbleu and IDDQD but I think they should definitely pick Surefour up because him and IDDQD on DPS when both are on form can be devastating, to be fair I think they should snap up Adam and GODS as well but who knows.

When has a team ever dropped out of a tournament and sold the spot? I've never heard of it happening in any e-sports title so I wouldn't mind some examples, if Liquid do sell the spot will they give the money to the 6 players that earned it? very much doubt it.

I really don't care regardless Swenn, someone mentioned them selling the spot and I replied to that, if it was the wrong place in your mind then boo hoo.

posted about 7 years ago

Problem with Skipjack and Winghaven is they have joined a few teams recently and been kicked pretty quickly after so they are obviously not ticking boxes, I don't quite get the whole full Swedish idea anyway considering the vast majority of Scandinavians have very good English so why gimp yourself? just recruit the best tank you can because this Misfits team have been pretty terrible since they became all Swedish so time to mix it up.

posted about 7 years ago

I said that but the forum police came out so be careful with all these crybabies about "derailing" the article.

But I do agree, arranging a small tournament for teams that came closest to qualifying isn't the hardest thing in the world to do but that won't make people money will it? OW is very much becoming all about the money nowadays.

posted about 7 years ago

And you honestly think every single thread posted on every single forum sticks to the main subject 100% without the slightest of deviations? guess I'm not used to forums then. Isn't like I started talking about McDonalds or something, merely stated NRG didn't deserve to buy the slot since someone else mentioned that fact, I thought the whole point of a forum was to have a discussion about relevant stuff but whatever.

Down vote me till the days are done for all I care, someone mentioned NRG buying the spot and I said something regarding that, to me that's what a forum is for if not then I honestly don't care.

posted about 7 years ago

How hard can it be to round up teams that failed to qualify and have them play a quick online tournament in two days? you trying to tell me a team that doesn't have money to buy a spot will be sitting there saying no problem, this is the best deal here? add to the fact NRG don't even have a TEAM yet are allowed to buy a spot.

This is hardly an argument Swennnnn, someone commented about Liquid selling the spot and I commented regarding that, last I checked that's what a forum was for.

posted about 7 years ago

They didn't have to pay for it though, you can't just earn a spot in any league and sell it off to the highest bidder that's utter bullshit, plus will the money they receive be split 6 ways between the players? they earned it after all right? TL earned the spot yet buying the spot is the polar opposite of earning it, TL had to earn it so let NRG earn it.

posted about 7 years ago

Having spots up for sale is a piss take when a shit team (they ain't even a team) aka NRG can just throw money at it when they didn't deserve the spot and quite frankly might not even win a qualifier for it, so the spot ends up going to the richest rather than most deserving, how desperate for money are Blizzard.

posted about 7 years ago

If SK played USA it might get 100k viewers yet if USA had an amazing team and everyone expected the result to be very close and it was in the grand final I'm sure it will gain more than 100k so I still don't get why you say results don't matter and it's just the teams that gain viewers.

I'd be shocked if the viewership peaked already considering almost every match was pretty shit and 4-0 stomps, a lot of folk will only watch the latter stages of a tournament when it gets good regardless of who it is playing, I still fail to see the point but then again I'm retarded.

posted about 7 years ago

Yet even MORE people would watch if it was SK vs France so I don't quite understand what's going on here, you're telling me results don't matter to viewers and people would watch SK vs France regardless and they would but I think more would watch it if it was a final.

Just because I said SK would bring in mass viewers doesn't mean I'm disagreeing with myself, my point still stands they would bring in even MORE viewers in harder matches which unless I'm absolutely retarded is what you're arguing against, right?

Correct me if I'm wrong but you're implying 100k people watch SK regardless of how difficult the match is right? yet I'm saying even more would watch SK if they played against harder teams in the playoffs, which is something you disagree with, right?

How can me saying results matter disagree with you when you say results don't matter, explain that to me.

posted about 7 years ago

I'm still 100% confident results do matter and more will turn in when the matches become proper matches and less of a shit show but as I said previously, time will tell.

posted about 7 years ago

"results rarely have anything to do with viewership"

I think that's wrong and while I agree it's the teams that bring viewers not always results I'm still confident more Koreans would tune in to watch SK play a real competitor than just stomping everyone so it's a bit of both, if UK made it all the way to the final to play SK you trying to tell me more people wouldn't turn in than they did for the stomps of Belgium and Israel?

Not every single SK fan turned in just because it's 4-0 because I'm almost certain some of them said what's the point it's a stomp but I'll watch the harder games so for me personally results have a big impact so it's a bit retarded to consider someone arguing that as stupid.

I guess it's pointless debating this just wait and see the viewership figure come the end of the WC, if the numbers are the same you're right remiska but if more people tune in then I guess you're wrong, time will tell.

posted about 7 years ago

Even SK stomping people would bring in mass viewers for various reasons but how many gave a shit about UK stomping Belgium and Israel? I'm hardly a hardcore OW fan so didn't watch these piss poor bad excuse for matches but I will watch the playoffs and considering there's very little doubt I'm hardly the only one with that mentality I'm sure results and matches DO make a difference as they do in every other sport, how many people watch the Superbowl every year compared to a standard NFL match? how many tune in for the Champions League final compared to the qualifying rounds involving teams from Gibraltar? etc etc etc

I'd be shocked if SK vs USA in a playoff match didn't have more views than UK vs Israel so your argument is stupid remiska.

posted about 7 years ago

If there are 100k or even half that consistently tuning in for some horrific and utter dog shit 4-0 stomps then I'm confident the proper matches should gain more and this Remiska sounds like a proper plonker, of course results have a huge impact do you think the same amount of people tune in to see Brazil get 0-4'd than they would to see USA vs Korea?

posted about 7 years ago

We do search but it still doesn't make sense a major shareholder in a London based football club wouldn't take the London spot whereas C9 who have absolutely nothing to do with London do, has nothing to do with searching.

posted about 7 years ago

Ah right, then it makes zero sense why anyone would buy a London spot, interesting to see how this turns out but seems like a waste of money.

posted about 7 years ago

Isn't he just a backer of C9 in general, if not who actually bought the London spot?

posted about 7 years ago

UK is a poor place for e-sports imo but Kroenke has a lot of stake in Arsenal who are obviously London based, if this wasn't the case no way in hell would C9 have this spot so he's obviously looking to take full advantage of his stake in Arsenal to try and make the most of this spot etc but I'm still not sure it will work, even full British teams barely get masses of support from fellow Brits never mind Americans and Koreans or whatever they will have then.

posted about 7 years ago

Guess it makes perfect sense considering he's a part of Arsenal and will be hoping to use that to his advantage.

posted about 7 years ago

Aye and it makes sense form that point of view but as I said UK e-sports is imo a bad place for a massive team to invest so much money, I mean them paying what 20M for a UK spot is really bad for business imo at least even if the entire roster was British I still can't see it being viable.

posted about 7 years ago

Personally being from the UK myself I find the UK e-sports scene to be pretty shit adding to the fact e-united is NA based I believe it makes no sense in my mind for them to invest in the UK spot when they would gain very little from it, makes sense for them to grab an American slot even if the entire roster was British.

Be interesting to see how popular OWL is in London considering even the biggest games in e-sports are barely that popular but time will tell.

posted about 7 years ago

Think that statement to me is more about them saying they want to show what the best lineup Finland has to offer the rest of the world rather than be the best in Finland.

posted about 7 years ago

Guessing this is more to do with how bad they've performed since moving to NA rather than anything related to OWL.

posted about 7 years ago

Hasn't this been around in other games for about a decade? if they could do it back then makes me wonder why they can't now, you can't even record demos in OW yet you could do that for games 15 years old so what's the excuse? not everyone can watch a match live and watching a VOD isn't the best since you can't watch who you want so these are two things OW could do with especially if they plan on making the OWL huge, how can it be huge when all we have to rely on are VODS?

The reason CS majors get hundreds of thousand views is they have an incentive to watch aka loot boxes, will that do the same for OW? doubt it since you can sell whatever you get in CS but can't in OW so I doubt it would make too big a difference but still, a free loot box is better than nothing eh.

Kinda surprised Blizzard want to take OW e-sports to the next level with a game lacking any demo function or spectating abilities other than streams and VODS, doesn't quite make sense.

posted about 7 years ago

Could just mean people are losing interest in APEX and all the useless shit that comes with it or don't have the patience to sit for like 5 hours watching a bo7 who knows, see what the WC brings viewer wise.

posted about 7 years ago

May have been bad for the NA fellas but for us Europeans it was at like 10 am, maybe 11 CET on a Saturday morning so it should've had a ton of European watchers but it had 20k when I was watching and this is the biggest LAN event we've ever had (iirc) for OW with 2 of the best teams on the planet so it is sad indeed but at the same time it's Korea and I'm sure quite a lot of people only watch NA/EU so it's hard to judge.

Each to their own, but when Swag, a guy who has known AZK for years and is in a team with him now says he's in his team then to me that's pretty much 100% confirmed but if you want to wait for "official" news then fair play, whatever floats your boat.

posted about 7 years ago

So Swag himself confirms it and people here are still crying it's not been "confirmed" by AZK? christ.

Should be Dafran throws in the towel. Weak ass.

posted about 7 years ago

He gave them bad attention they neither wanted nor deserved all because of this immature manchild so he did drag them down with him.

posted about 7 years ago

So his solution is to make other people depressed and bored by throwing matches because it's fun? hope he just gets banned every time the twat.

posted about 7 years ago

Why not just stop doing it then instead of acting like a complete and utter prick and fucking your competitive team up because you're too much of an immature tosspot to not drag them down with you? this guy sounds like cancer and OW is a better place without him, good riddance scum.

posted about 7 years ago

Happy birthday bae, I'm the same to be fair I got into the game in the open beta and was hooked instantly, even though I've barely played it I spent hours watching as much as possible and even all the GosuGamer weekly tournaments on the weekends I loved watching but for me personally it has never kicked off as it should have in all this time but touch wood the OWL can kick OW off even if I'm more pessimistic than optimistic.

posted about 7 years ago

For those franchises $300k+ isn't much no but what if C9 have to buy a spot AND pay that a year plus the retirement shit they will only do that if they are guaranteed to cover those costs from the league and not just rely on them placing first because if C9 have to place first to make that money back I can't see them buying a spot considering C9 will never take first, but we will see I guess.

posted about 7 years ago

I guess that's why Blizzard are pretty much trying to do away with orgs and bring in multi-million or even billion dollar franchises who can afford this much money but will they find a dozen of them to do it or what that remains to be seen and if not can the likes of Rogue and C9 pay what, 300k a year in salaries? that's quite a ton of money.

posted about 7 years ago

That's the thing though, how interesting will it be watching a bunch of free agents from NA/EU playing against the 3 best teams in the world in LH, EnvyUS and Rogue, do you honestly think the OWL will have a winner outside those three? yet if teams had stayed together and practised like fuck who knows?

Maybe watching Rogue vs an absolute clusterfuck of a lineup involving people from NA, Asia and Eu in the same team is interesting but to me it sure ain't, that's my problem with OWL, if it was like 99.99999% of every other LAN/league every other e-sports title has had fair enough but no, Blizzard have to be retarded and do something completely stupid to bring in as much money as possible.

But hey if it's fun to you and everyone else then fair play, what's fun to me is seeing established teams facing off against each other, how much of an advantage will those 3 I mentioned have over everyone else? HUGE.

When I say dying I mean the fact all the online leagues/tournaments have ceased and we're left with what, half a dozen orgs nowadays, to me that's dying yet doesn't mean it's close to death it just ain't alive as it used to be when we had so many orgs and online matches happening quite often.

Also couldn't care less about the Tempo Storm lineup, hell I'm glad they disbanded because that Twoeasy is an absolute tosser of a guy and doesn't deserve to be on a team, hope nobody picks him up for OWL.
