BOSTON TEEN PARTY LUL

Though that's a real feelsbad to lose basically all flexibility and be left with essentially a double hitscan duo. Expectations for mistakes is understandably meh. It would be extremely poggers if mistakes were NOT made (sorry I had to, low hanging fruit).
I was just starting to get behind boston as being a favorite underdog and as a potential dark horse to make it to the semis/finals. It's a shame things turned out how they did since I'd imagine many others felt the same. :(

Unfortunately, Even after the community backlash over their previous allegations and punishments, the only thing that can right the wrongs is a player union. I can only hope that the need for a player union only becomes more evident as these types of actions from OWL continue. I'll leave it at this quote, as it sums up everything I have to say quite well.

“Tyranny is the deliberate removal of nuance” - Albert Maysles

EDIT: I see how this situation has more substance and OWL even used the correct term of "racially insensitive", albeit as a technicality. However, I'm more against the systemic problem of OWL using their own context to justify an action. In my option, the correct response to this situation would be to leave it at PHI Fusions discretion and just not to get involved. As more of a thought experiment, when someone actually drops the N-word with a racist context and intent, what the actual punishment would be for that. A 100k fine and suspension for a year? two? indefinitely?

For the longest time when I was young, my dad (an immigrant) used to point with his middle finger everywhere. Like FU restaurant Menu, FU book, FU that direction...lmao. I agree that cultural differences probably was a factor for bliz in deciding how to go about it. You have to take a more conservative stance and assume that they're still assimilating into western culture. Most don't even speak english well, so I agree with slap on the wrist of a $1000 and just move on. I doubt it will ever happen again. Though it is not acceptable for xQc to do the same. While you can argue that what he speaks is not English either (haHAA), he knows the full context of it where it cant be said the same (or to assume so) for profit. Just on that point would justify the different punishments for me, and that's excluding xQc previous history and whatever goes on outside of public eyes that could have also been a factor.

I feel like Blizz might be trying to make a point that the context matters rather than a list of X Offence = Y Punishment. It can be a pretty controversial stance of both judge and jury, but they've proven to me that they're not just another profit seeking capitalist company (cough cough EA) and they actually care quite a bit.

Meh my 2Cents.. More things I could have touched on, but I think its enough to convey my thoughts
