From that huge spread of countries, Brazil, Canada, China, South Korea, USA, and ANZ (a joint endeavour from Australia and New Zealand) automatically qualify for the Final Stage of the World Cup
There are going to be teams that automatically qualify? What kind of bullshit favoritism is this? I'm starting to feel like this isn't even a game anymore, rather new age sociopolitical capitalism.

All these kids want to be "pro gamers" but they don't want to go through the slog of becoming one. Hell, I'm surprised half the people in the top twenty teams are even under contract. Then I realize that the reason people get these contracts for big name teams is because they are willing to lower themselves to the terms they sign off on. Just think about it; What are these players having to give up for a chance at big paydays and opportunities? Its not rocket science, and there needs to be some sort of unionization that protects the rights of the individuals signing these contracts. Unfortunately, it is unlikely for e-sports affiliates to come together for something like this.
Since ancient times, people have said "One mountain can not contain two tigers". This is an ultimate truth, so we shall see this rule dictates the destiny's of these individuals. I remain optimistic.
I'm liking the re-branding of the team, I'll be looking forward to seeing good things from NRG
next they will remove mccree from the game and completely redesign his character Kappa

Don't let people tell you what to do, and then do it. Play what you want to play with the intention of achieving the potential you know you can. If your going to half-ass some days, consider playing tank/support but in the end, you need to do you.
Everyone has these dreams of going pro with their friends, then you get cut because your just not "top 8 material ". Its a cut throat world out there, best of luck too DoT and the team.

Birds was mvp this weekend no doubt. It really comes down to how team synergy is working, and that missing piece called birds was able to send NGR over the edge for a unprecedented victory for their tenure.
You guys think the Invite shaming in eSports is bad? You should see what happens when high level magic the gathering players come to locals. Usually the cops are called, its pretty bad. This happens in the fighting game community allot as well, and usually it ends up damaging the scene until everything blows over. This type of stigma really needs to stop.

I really hope more of these events still happen. The worst is over, and there is so much to learn from the mistakes of the first LAN. I think everyone could agree that in observation of the mistakes that were made, it will only become easier to produce and host these events.
