From my perspective academy teams are here to test out potential players to see if they will fit into their OWL roster. There are exceptions like British Hurricane but generally these teams are wanting to try out the next big stars and as always seems to be the case a lot of them are Korean. I very much doubt the academy teams are playing for the prize pools.

I started to grow tired of the grind of the regular season but now I'm ready more than ever for some OWL. Let's go Fusion!

From a personal perspective, meh it's been fun I guess, bit boring as an EU fan not being able to watch games live and it has dragged on a bit too. The production is great when I do actually watch a game but there's no hype on my end anymore. I've had much more fun watching the recent PIT tournament where I actually stop what I'm doing deliberatly to watch the games by setting aside time, that's not something I can say I've done for OWL since stage 2.

Whenever he's casting it's a pure ResidentSleeper from me which is a shame because Hex does such a great job. It still feels like he doesn't understand the flow of the game and misses key moments in team fights, at times it's like he's just describing the kill feed to us.

Yeah as a fellow support main this is music to my ears! The amount of times I've had to go tank because we've got double support one tricks (as in Mercy or Lucio one tricks) + me is insane. I guess it hasn't been so bad in the Brig meta but this really will help out.
