Something I've always wondered since the introduction of the OWL/Contenders tiering system is if there was actually a significant difference in the level of play between the two leagues since Contenders and OWL teams have never publicly played against each other.

Given that you've played in both, is the level of play in OWL on another level compared to Contenders? Or are some Contenders teams/players on the same level of OWL teams?

For me it's definitely the GosuGamers Weeklies. It was awesome to see a new contender pop up out of the blue from week to week.

I understand Blizzard's vision with OWL, but man, I can only imagine what the scene would look like now if it was left to grow organically.

This post sums up my thoughts pretty well. On the whole I love everything about the site, but one thing in particular that seems to be lacking is prompt reporting of breaking news.
