Rescheduled to tomorrow due to aforementioned issues- will update time as it's finalized with teams.
Delayed due to ddos/blizzard issues. They are trying to play this today.

Irregardless of how this match ends up, glad to see compLexity back in top shape! Hopefully they can maintain this and get past their eleague qualifier status! Really seems like Nicolas and tork stepped up big for the team.
To their credit, I think the Overwatch Open observers improved on this quite a bit especially towards the later qualifers; however, there is still a lot more room to utilize the birds eye view like you said.
On a side note, do you have any plans to cast some overwatch matches? Would love to see your take on them!
Will get this updated - thank you! Best of luck with your match.
Bloodsire was on the analyst desk for the Alienware Monthly Melee- glad to see the team getting more exposure. Hopefully we'll get more full productions from them as well!
"How does such a big man go unnoticed?" - Casters
Complexity showing up back in form! Glad to see their ELeague performance was just a 1 off one. Great showing by Method on Dorado!

Teams and players just announced! I'm actually really excited to watch this. Unfortunate that it was very popularity focused this year, but hopefully that'll help grow the competitive spectator scene significantly. Looking forward to see Blizzard's production!
This entire bracket is insane - starting with Dignitas almost losing in the EU bracket and then NA just happened...
It almost felt like Complexity wasn't warmed up until Kings Row Defense at which point it was way too late for them. Glad that NRG's bootcamp is producing results!
Loving the switchup having Enigma on DPS - I wonder if it'll be a permanent switch, enigma is obviously an extremely capable dps player. Good luck to both teams!
Yes! Thanks for the heads up.
NotLikeThis Harbleu plz tell me that was a strat :'(
Rise Nation playing so well on Dorado - looking like this will be a good series. Complexity needs to play their best to make sure they clinch that spot in the Upper Bracket Finals!
Thanks for sharing these! Need to check them out sometime soon.
Great plays by colorado to take that map! Lets see who's practiced Anubis more now!

Yeah agreed - i'd love to see the bastion/mei play in a top tier match and see how it plays out. I'm glad Mono was able to get the kills towards the end at least!
Bastion and mei - the dream is real.
Yeah absolutely - hopefully once the tf2 i58 production finishes they'll be able to run additional overwatch productions.
I was just watching the tf2 i58 production and it made me realize how much I miss the quality the tftv team had built for casting there and how much room overwatch has to grow in terms of production. Anyone have thoughts of new additions/changes they'd like to see in overwatch in the long run?
Personally, I really liked how the iBuyPower stream included statistics for the different players to base pre-match analysis as well as map picks. I always enjoy seeing numbers to give some concrete information to back analysis. I've also been enjoying the various highlights (instead of a single potg) from the overwatch open, but the video quality of those always seems low to me for some reason.
I'd love to see the camera focused on a birds eye view more often - it's just as easy to tell from higher up that a reaper ult killed x people as from a first person view, but I feel like a birds eye view gives a better understanding of how that impacts positioning from the other team. Although I wonder if the first person view is easier for new spectators to the game.
Let me know your thoughts!
Glad that it's finalized at last - looking forward to seeing this team fully establish themselves at the top of the scene!
What a come back by Bringos - great first map!
Great 1st point hold by REUNITED, but b.fly really kept several of those fights very close. I think if some of their first point pushes had gone better, they could've capped through.
Great interview by GrimReality. I know it may not seem like much, but it's always enjoyable to hear from players excited about their success.
Huckleberry played quite well on several parts of the maps - looking forward to seeing them get even better and start pulling the wins! Congrats to Sodipop for qualifying!
Who says pharah is dead? Nice play by Huckleberry!
Strong push by Sodipop on Kings Row- lets see if they can combine it with a good defense to pull away a map.
Really well played by Faze - glad their hard work is taking them places. It'll be interesting to see how they perform at LAN!
So many prospective slaves and only one admirable NotLikeThis
That was quite a rough game from coL. My guess is travel fatigue/jet lag etc contributed a ton to this since it seemed like they were just playing sloppy. Given that they played well against C9 and Rogue at LAN, hopefully they'll be able to maintain their dominance. The ELeague group stages will be an interesting test for them with NRG bootcamping to prepare and other strong teams in their group. Congrats to Faze for taking over as KOTH!
Might just be a bye since they'd have to organize for a new team to enter and that may change groups?
I read this rule earlier, but I didn't realize it's impact till you mentioned this. Definitely seems like they should've acted on this better instead of shafting some well deserving teams. I'm sure they'll revise this in future iterations of tournaments.
That was a tough series to watch - i'm hoping it was more of the nerves on compLexity for their first match that resulted in this. Otherwise we'll just see a REUNITED vs EnVyUs final with no contest. Either way, great plays from REUNITED - very well earned win!
Misfits copying harbhog strats on Gibralter - lets see if they can deliver now!
Edit: Already switched off the hog after 1 failed push :/
art1er is just destroying Misfits in these last few pushes!
These timings are really unfortunate for NA :| Hopefully future international tournaments will adjust their timings a bit better for a global audience. I'll be relying on the write ups tomorrow to catch up in time for Sunday's matches.
Thanks! Feel free to provide any feedback - looking forward to improve for future articles.
Also HarbHog hype! Can't wait to see who goes big in the LAN setting and pulls their team forward in the LAN setting.
Looking for some great matches coming soon! I'm hoping the production quality at Turner Studios will establish a new benchmark for spectators and help grow comp. overwatch.
Every single one of these shorts (and the cinematic trailer) are amazing at creating those feels! Can't wait to see what the future shorts focus on - honestly rivals pixar shorts imo.
Looks great visually - can't wait to see how it plays. I'm hoping we get some new game modes too at some point.
Big fan of the "battering ram" concept as well as the indoor castle portion. Reminds me of some of those classic mario games. Hopefully it lives up to expectations!

Liquid seems so reliant upon AZK going huge - seems like if you can shut him down, they barely keep up with top teams.
What a crazy first match- I think if Nic/tork were a little more consistent, compLexity would be insane. Excited to see how the series plays out.
NotLikeThis Really sad to see this happen - hopefully this team can work hard and really prove themselves. With a new name change incoming we might just see another jump!
Harbleu not carrying with Zarya FeelsBadMan
Really thought TSM had that 1st map - 2nd defense definitely was a big issue.
TSM actually trying? Nice plays first map by both teams!
Only caught Hanamura, but it was a good showing. I wonder if TSM didn't run torbjorn on the 2nd round if they would've fared any better. My guess would be that Envyus would've anticipated the torb and been ready to counter which it seemed like they did.

Pretty exciting to see that they are planning on doing some seasonal events. While it won't make a big difference for competitive, I think it'll go a long way in bringing back players and growing the overall player base.
