Thanks man, really wish we could of pulled out a win, but it was super close and we're close friends with Method so we're all happy for them.
The biggest part of this whole thing is we were preparing to play Fnatic/Liquid/Clutch for three weeks, but due to NG disbanding we got moved up a seed and to group D on Wednesday, which everyone was already calling the group of death and we knew we would only make that group better (harder). We probably had like, 6+ hours of Liquid/Clutch prep that we basically lost due to the group change. Going into it we were confident, but also realized how hard it would be to get out of the group so even though we're all happy with what we achieved this weekend, it was more crushing losing the series the way we did on Anubis/Nepal being so close to Atlanta.
Currently looking for one flex player with the ability to play Winston / Zarya / Roadhog well, but also play the DPSs we might need them to (Reaper/Junkrat/Widow/Tracer etc., but having the ability to play anyone is great).
Our current 5 have tons of experience including playing Shootmania/TF2/CSGO professionally and most notably our main tank has played on multiple high ranking Overwatch teams throughout beta. We think having this experience in previous games is very important in Overwatch. Not just in a shooting/aim sense, but in a team building, communication, getting better, learning from loses and dealing with loses sense. Because of this we'd only really be looking at people with 'good experience' in professional gaming. We'd also like someone with a basic knowledge of the meta/competitive scene/basic strategy who has played scrims before so we won't be needing to teach you too much and it would make the transition from tryout - player easier.
Right now our short term goal (Over next few months) is to be top 10 in NA (So top teams won't be as reluctant to scrim us because everyone wants to play people better teams or teams on a similar level as them) and eventually get sponsored by an organization. Long term is perform / beat top teams in weeklies and go to lans.
We are looking for people who can commit, play the heroes we need, have the experience and someone who wants the same goals as us. Please leave your battletag, a description of your past experiences, any VODs you can share of you in tournament play (Either in OW or even ones on other games such as Shootmania/TF2) and anything else you think is relevant. I will add you and answer any questions you might have for me on Bnet.
Scheduling wise we play 8pm-12pm est every weekday we can and look to do any tournaments we can on weekends, but due to many new tournaments popping up everyday and even during the weekdays we'd want someone flexibility to play within a days notice.
nvm
