If NRG is still in Korea, I suppose Seagull could make the fill.

When it comes to actual results on world ranking, of course you can.

Saying "but they look so strong!" should have absolutely no bearing whatsoever on where a team is placed with these Rankings. They have to have Results. Think of the amount of tournaments and Majors that NA and EU have played against each other, and how that has shaped all of these rankings. LH has simply not played enough tournaments against both eastern and western teams to be solidified in a Top 3 spot.

Admirable
The westerners that have been to Korea are shouting from the rooftops about how the Koreans are a real threat and not to be taken lightly. The best players from the west are publicly creaming their pants about Korean talents like Miro, ryujehong, EscA etc. and even unanimously say that ranked play in Korea is far superior.

To be a dominant force in a hyper-competitive scene like Korea is no mean feat, which is what I was trying to get at in my admittedly flippant response :D

I agree! I also agree that they are looking very, very strong. But do you know who else looked strong for awhile and everyone else was Screaming from the rooftops about?

Envy.

Pretty much everyone favored Envy going into both ESL Atlantic Showdown as well as Overwatch Open, especially once Misfits beat Rogue. People had EnVy as the assumed best team, if not top 3 in the world. They were looking strong!

Then they lost.

I'm not saying I don't believe that LH is incredibly strong, but it makes no sense to me to place them so high with nothing but at-home play and barely a handful of games against NA/EU top teams.

This is like saying a team from Australia who stomps all other Australian teams wins against 2 NA/EU teams and now deserves top 3.

Not enough data to support top 3 yet.

Check your yellow fever bias ;-)

You can tell it's Sombra because of the 30 minute gap between opening ceremony and the League presentation Kappa

Fair enough. I'm ridiculously excited for this and the APEX. Seriously looking like an amazing Q4 for Overwatch eSports.

I mean Taimou mentioned playing against asian teams before on stream and said essentially that they were just easy matches. It'll def be interesting to see what happens, but I would honestly be shocked and amazed if they pub-stomped Rogue or NRG.

That's too bad... I'm sure it won't be an issue at the studio, but that's a tough break to be limited to that kind of equipment.

It was free for me and my friends. Looking forward to attending!

But seriously though... this is pretty insane.

So happy for these guys! Hopefully they get better resources (gaming house for example), and can really buckle down with team building, practice, and hopefully see results.

Also, I'm patiently waiting for a Shaq appearance in ESL Open now.
