If EnvyUS, after spending time in Korea, had impressed Korean organizations and been bought out by a Korean org and moved permanently to Korea, they would be considered a Korean team. COMMON SENSE WINS WOOO

"None of this matters in traditional sports. Teams in the English Premier League or MLB are full of players from foreign countries, but the fans tune in to watch the teams and follow their storylines, not the players'."
This is hilariously off base. Fans tune in to follow the storylines of players, fans obsess about players in traditional sports.
E-sports could be effectively very similar.
If they are moving to America to chase opportunity, labeling them as an American or NA team is fair. Do you consider the Washington Capitals a Russian hockey team because they have Russian players on it? Nope. Please stop being bitter about the whole NA vs EU thing. The teams moving to NA for opportunity should be labeling themselves as NA teams and looking to grow their home (NA, where they live) fanbase. This is just common sense for the growth of E-sports. This is such an overtalked about topic.
