I think this is the best change possible. To get a more worldwide viewership the overwatch contenders channel needs to remain the single channel to display all of contenders but at the same time the amount of competition means its not feasible to do so. Creating a confidentiality so for viewers it is effectively live is a appropriate (but not optimal) way to do so.

If they were to change schedules it would mean splitting streams and viewership which would lower the potential for the smaller scenes to develop. As long as no one spills the beans this system should be okay.

but last year they had blizzcon which i assumed was really promoting it. This time its just the group stages and its already pretty big
