You got $20m to pledge for investment into the league to take their spot?
It's how we do in the US of A baby.
That's the point of contenders. It's a farm system.
The kid needs help, as I understand it he has had a rocky enough road getting thrown out of home
He's 21 years old, he's not a child. And a rocky road being thrown out of home at age 20? That's not a hardship, that's called being an adult.
Without more details, the discrepancy between the 4 games OGE got and the 30 games sado got for account boosting probably has to do with sado being a repeat offender (he had been suspended by APEX before for boosting), and/or the severity and type of offenses (for example, whether they were paid for boosting or were boosting a friend's account, and whether it was one account or multiple accounts)

Except all of those are punishable offenses in every sports league. Also, xQc was suspended for more than just using an emote in a way that could be viewed as racially insensitive, since he also made negative comments about the OWL production (which I actually agree with him, they're terrible, but those comments are a punishable offense in every sports league too).
But hey let's keep making excuses for the manchild who can't control himself. It's everyone else, not him.
As Murtaugh put it, "I'm too old for this shit."
The people trying to defend this as not racist sound a lot like the people who want to argue about why they can't say the n-word. Whether their intent is racist or not, they know exactly what they're doing.
If you think business partners and investors wouldn't have an issue with this, I don't know what to tell you. Argue about the meaning of emotes all you want, the issue here isn't what people on Twitch think, it's how it looks when it gets reported on ESPN or Kotaku tomorrow. And that looks hella racist.
Best part of this whole thing are all the edgelords xQc caters to spamming @owl chat right now. They don't even realize the end result will be Twitch banning that cancerous idiot.
EDIT: I'll also add that Blizzard is a joke. They'll 1-hr time out people memeing in chat posting harmless stuff like emote pyramids, and yet there's thousands of racist idiots spamming TriHard right now and nothing being done.
You can easily avoid that by not using that word to begin with.
Yes.
I've always said jokes are better after you explain them.
Yeah, it's unfortunate that OWL teams went with top tier talent instead of only selecting local players from their respective markets like the NFL and every other sports league requires.
If it was a simple single elim bracket like season 0 in NA, they would've had to play at most 11 matches.
It's almost as if this was a job to him, and not some life or death thing. Weird right?
For what it's worth, I've worked as a manager in event management where I constantly had to switch between 3 languages (English, Portuguese, and Spanish) because of language barriers, and switching between languages wasn't particularly taxing. The only issue I had was occasionally speaking on the wrong language to a specific person, but I would imagine with a small team of 6 with clearly defined roles that wouldn't be as big an issue.
that'd be kind of neat, and keeping with the theme for the new Blizzard World map.
Nothing stopping nrg from keeping them on as streamers / influencers a la seagull
