Thanks for this!
I'm pretty sure he played Contenders Season 1 Week 4 with WGS.
Wait people don't think this team will actually shred in OWL? They'll probably be at least mid table.
Useul left the team last month: https://twitter.com/Talon__esports/status/1222833378279313408
Unlucky smex with the visa issues :(
Rumours are that ATing will join as well as maybe CQB.
Wow. Nova MS didn't get anything done in this match :o
Huge poggers. Been a fan of HKA since OPC S1!
Also, is there a reason why only Mangojai has his last name after his nick? :P
I don't think they tweeted about it, but MirroR announced his departure from the team a few days before this batch of news.
I'd say 8 months is pretty solid period of time in this scene.
Also he got to play a game!
Third 2-3 loss in a row for SereNity :(
Now you removed the n after the g :P
Delevingne.
I've made the same mistake a few times on Liquipedia XD
Talking specifically about the Pacific region, I don't understand Blizzard's decision to have the reduced prize pool.
Pacific as a region is LAN and requires overseas teams to actually fly teams out to Taiwan to compete. This as a result has already stopped multiple Trials teams who actually qualified, from actually competing in Contenders and has already lead to the disband of quite a few OW teams, most notably Flash Wolves and recently Detonator.KR.
Keep in mind, OPC prize pool was double that of PAC Contenders so obviously the sponsorship revenue exists in this region.
I believe Keyd Stars is the organisation name, and Vivo Keyd, the sponsored name.
We have the missing names on Liquipedia if you want to update the roster :)
I suppose Talon will pick up most or all of Flash Wolves?
I'm thinking that performance-based has to stay in lower ranks for smurf/alt accounts to rank up quicker?
I mean, if a GM player makes a new account, but each win only gets you so much SR, how long will it take for them to reach their true rank?
Or am I confusing something here where MMR would still be performance based
Thanks so much for the TL.
Was quite enlightening!
Great article Mert!
A shame OPC doesn't get that much attention...
EZ for the actual team in the end.
Just much better coordination overall.
Also aKm choked hard in the 1v1, had a 6-1 lead!
We now see how wise Seagull was to not play on xQc's account :eyes:
Yes, as a long time fan of shadder2k I am very much a fan of this.
Also, minor point, but it is stylised 'shadder2k' with a lower case 's', if harsha or anyone cares :D
That's nice to hear.
Just not long ago, everyone was blaming Hus for their poor performance in OPC S2.
Seems like he's finally stepping up.
Hmm, dunno if this info is outdated, but I notice that Wraxu is listed?
He isn't a professional OW player, though he is pretty nice to watch :P
I can't frag this enough. Especially since we're playing Germany haha!
CommanderX where's the round up? :D
Edit: Nvm, you didn't do the roundup for EU
¥600,000 only equates to ~$5,400 though.
Dropping a player who was 'too competitive' when you're a competitive OW team?
Sombra also used quite successfully by Surefour!
This was a pretty interesting read.
Since I only got interested in Pro OW when shadder joined Liquid during the Carbon Series, I never noticed the lack of LAN was that prominent.
It truly seems like OW is in a state of limbo, ready to tip either way depending on what happens with the OWL.
Oh my god that Sombra carry from ID on that last map.
LG Evil absolutely stomped.
This is such a close tense game.
But Liquid 3-0ed LG Evil last time they played
