This is an intricately structured tournament. These two didn't qualify for season 1 so they have to come through the qualifiers for season 2, and one will fail here. Meanwhile teams that did qualify last season (how long are seasons?) but didn't finish in the bottom four are through automatically, which includes Flash Lux and Conbox T6, who might be really good but I've seen very little of them.

Whoever loses is still in Challngers S3 (there are two Challenger seasons per APEX season)

The crazy part is that it was RunAway who denied LW Red their place in Season 1 at the time when LW Red were the dominant team in Korea. Then the RunAway hype train was derailed after they beat REUNITED, but then just when their chances had been written off they rally again in Super Week to fuck LW Red and AF Red :D

Will the same four Western teams be invited, or is that more fluid?

Yeah I'm almost certain EnVy will be back to defend their title.
Rogue, NRG and REUNITED all technically have spots from Season 1 as well...
Would personally love to see Misfits invited :o
