Revenge was previously on the Hangzhou Spark in the Overwatch League. His playtime on the team has been scant, having played only ten maps for the team throughout the entire 2019 season. Revenge parted ways with the Spark early on during the offseason. He will now be returning to Contenders, after playing there in 2018 with team Seven.
On the other hand, this will be ChiYo's first foray into Contenders. He previously played for Griffin, and has participated in three seasons of Contenders Trials but never qualified for Contenders. ChiYo will not be the only Griffin alumnus to enter Contenders, as former teammate choisehwan was recently announced to have joined Element Mystic.
RunAway saw several of its members depart for the Overwatch League during the offseason. The Florida Mayhem acquired DPS yaki, flex support GangNamJin and head coach Kuki, the Fusion picked up DPS Heesu and support player LeeJaeGon went to the Shanghai Dragons. It was also announced that off-tank player QoQ will be leaving RunAway.
The team is now sitting at five players on their roster, with one more DPS player needed to round it out.
