After finishing the regular season of Contenders Australia in first place with the Drop Bears, it was announced that Teetawat was not going to play in the LAN finals with the team. Teetawat will be the second Thai player to join a major North American organization, behind Mickie of Team EnVyUs and the Dallas Fuel.
Uprising Academy now cannot add any more players outside of North America, due to the foreign import limit. The two other players on the team not from North America are punk and Klaus.
Teetawat replaces Hypnott as main tank on Uprising Academy. Hypnott left the team midway through the regular season. Uprising Academy came in eighth place in Contenders North America East, and will be sent to the next season of Trials, alongside Bermuda, Second Generation and Phase 2.
