The roster of Battalion Esports began Contenders South America with a 3-1 defeat to Caverna E-Sports, at the time competing under WS Esports. The roster played its first match with Battalion today, ushering in the organization's Overwatch debut with a 4-0 defeat to paiN Gaming.
The Battalion E-Sports roster qualified for Contenders South America following a fourth place finish in Contenders Trials. WS Blue, once the sister team to the roster that is now Battalion, qualified for Contenders directly from Open Division. That roster signed with Encore e-Sports near the end of February.
The next match for Battalion will be up against Nocturns Gaming. The match will be broadcasted March 30.
