The players and organization mutually agreed on their separation, according to a tweet from Team Kongdoo.

While both players found playtime in Contenders Season 1 Korea, each saw a reduced role within the team in Contenders Season 2. Shubil never stepped onto the stage once during Season 2 while ChangSik played five maps in four matches during the group stage. ChangSik didn't play a single map during the playoffs.

This cuts Kongdoo Panthera from nine players down to seven. Shubil was not officially registered for KDP's weekly Contenders roster in Season 2 as a result of the eight-player roster limit applied to Contenders teams.

Kongdoo Panthera has a guaranteed place in Contenders Season 3 after finishing Contenders Season 2 as the runner-ups. The dates for the next season of Contenders have yet to be announced.
