Meta Gaming has announced the return of DPS player Recry to Meta Athena Meta Athena Inactive Jasp3r Kim Hyun-wook (김현욱) off tank Tamper Ma Ji-min dps AlphaYi Kim Joon (김준) dps Flora Lim Young-woo (임영우) dps InHyeok Jeong In-hyeok tank Takoyaki Lee Young-hyun tank HALF Park Jong-seo (박종서) support Named Seo Won-jung (서원중) support , who last played for them during the 2017 Nexus Cup Annual Finals.

Recry first entered professional Overwatch with Afreeca Freecs as a DPS player, and played through all four seasons of OGN APEX with them. He later joined Meta Athena in November for the Nexus Cup, but didn't remain with them shorty afterwards, and has not played for any team since.

Recry will join a Meta Athena squad that went winless in Contenders, and will need a good performance in Contenders Trials to avoid relegation. His squad has previous experience from their qualifying run in the first edition of Trials.

The teams that will compete in Contenders Trials Korea have been finalized, although the dates have yet to be announced.
