Before contenders season 1 it was looking like north american fans dreams of having elite team have came true in the form of Immortals and with secured spot in Overwatch League it looked like a team with majority of NA players had real chance of making an impact on competitive scene. Everything changed after contenders with abysmal performance and overwatch league approaching fast future of this, once challenging likes of Rogue and EnVyUs, team is unsure

Immortals entered Overwatch, only just over a year ago when most of top teams and players were already signed, by signing well performing north american team Sodipop in september of 2016.

Sodipop was formed on june 15 by GrimReality, Jer, Hype and nomy, last 2 players were changing with more notable xorros joining them for few tournaments. Their roster was finalized by Hyped and Agilities by the end of july and haven’t changed until their signing for Immortals.

First tournament with the final iteration of the roster was BTS Overwatch Cup Week 2 in which they placed 4th after losing to Liquid and Cloud9. They would continue to place in the middle of ranks with the best placing before being picked up being 3rd in Alienware Monthly Melee for the month of August.

Their first tournament under north american organization was Overwatch Open where they finished at disappointing last place after going 0-4 in the maps in the group stage. With continuous weak results roster had to change. In october Chance replaced Jer and later moved to coaching n place of verbo.

With revamped roster immortals had a much better showing having multiple 2nd place finished throughout october and november finally grabbing a victory in december when they won Monthly melee and Basetrade tv cup, they would continue their good performanse in 2017 winning Overwatch winter premier and Carbon series but with the raise of other north american teams like selfless and Lg evil and Rogue dominating western scene Immortals results started to be much weaker.

After a string of close to last finishes nomy and Aythen were replaced by KariV, Fate and envy with Immortals rocking now 7 men roster. These changes allowed them to win season zero of Contenders and nearly end Rogues undefeated streak in the west in the nail biting 3:4 final of BEAT Invitational - Season 2.

With Immortals looking very strong they were expected to get into Contenders season 1 playoffs and even give a hard time envyus coming back from korea but they didn’t. North american team crumbled and finished 6th from last losing most of their games and with Organization having to create new name for their owl spot this would be the last showing under Immortals brand.

Immortals owns Los Angeles Valiant owl spot with the roster consisting of Agilities, GrimReality, silkthread, SoOn, Fate, numlocked, SPACE, envy, KariV, uNKOe and Verbo.

I think their new roster is going to be very, very strong. They've had tons of preparation time up to OWL, and I think they'll be a force to be reckoned with.
