Meta. I BELIEVE IN YOU
These past few weeks of Overwatch have been full of surprises, but I'm 150% certain we won't see one here. Heck I'll even copy Involv3r and auto downfrag myself for a whole week if LH lose this one.
Meta have looks extremely shaky not being able to win a single map against MVP or Runaway and now they're facing a practiced LH squad that are coming back from absolutely stomping Runaway.
All LH needs to guarantee first place in the group is a win, but I think LH wins 3-0 here. Let's see if I can continue my crusade to no-life my way to my 3rd star or if I need to commit over.gg style seppuku for the next 7 days after this.
LUNATIC HAI FIGHTING!
Kuroi, I agree with you 100%. LH should win this.
But I think the reason LH was able to stomp RunAway was partly due to TiZi's absence due to personal reason and Stitch's poor condition that day. According to Runner on his stream, JJanu had to substitute TiZi for Winston and Runner had to come in because TiZi had personal issues that restricted him from playing the match. Also, Stitch was feeling dizzy 20 minutes prior to the match, which was not resolved even after taking a headache pill. Seeing how important TiZi and Stitch was today, LH was very fortunate they did not face RunAway in current form. In the end, I think top 2 from the group went to the ones who deserve it the most. Although MVP did extremely well, I am not sure whether they will be able to continue to perform at current level with Doomfist's nerf. Also, it seems like LH and RunAway's performance will only continue to get better based on how much they have been improving lately.
On the side of Meta, Libero and Saya, use this opportunity to show how sick of a DPS duo you are and be picked up by team Seoul please. I want to see these two in the OWL.
Interesting, that probably would have helped Runaway out quite a bit, though I'm not quite convinced it would have been enough for them to win. I'm just amazed that they can switch roles around so much and actually make it work.
The only thing I'm worried about is if it will be enough to beat teams like LH or KDP since those two now seem like the heavy favorites to make it to the finals.
Your insight is always appreciated.

Anyone know why Jehong is not playing ? Or they just trying stuff out ?
Korean OGN casters said that Jehong had personal reasons that he could not play today, and LH has been practicing to play without him in preparation of the match. They did not specify what kind of personal reason though. Miro, Zunba, and Tobi were again just amazing today. I really want them to beef up the DPS and show how scary of a team they can be (especially since Whoru will not be able to play for the OWL due to age restriction).
LH + KDP DPS duo will be insanely good, but I feel like KDP will get a OWL spot themselves. LH + MA DPS duo would also be a significant upgrade of the team. Or just simply adding Libero to the team would be sufficient if LTJ can continue to play more consistently.
Thanks for the info.
The fact that Gido can flex to Ana in a setting like this and still perform reasonably well is really impressive too. Hoon's Zarya was always known to be one of the best, if not the best in South Korea, but Zunba was monstrous today on King's Row. Also, I never was impressed by LTJ, even in season 1. His Hog was good, kinda, but the rest of his hero pool is not up to par. I agree that Libero and Sayaplayer would be a massive upgrade for their DPS potential. Feel like LH will get in OWL with a large squad.
On a side note, I wish we could access in game stats (or at least in OWL), cause Tobi is a beast. Like you always see him around, peeling and amping and booping and wallriding, but you can count the number of times he dies in a series on two hands. He's so good.
All in all, this was a big game for Gido I think. What he did was not, by any means, easy.
Actually I started watching APEX since season 2, so I am not sure how LTJ was before. But I heard he has been practicing really hard in competitive matches and has improved a lot since then. And I think we saw a glimpse of how good he can be in the match against RunAway this season. If he can consistently play at that level, I think he can be as good as Saya, maybe even better. LTJ did play poorly against MVP though, so I cannot tell how consistent he will be at this point. I guess we will have better idea towards the end of this season.
Well no, yes his Sombra is really good, but it's really not that hard to play Sombra very effectively at a pro level if you practice it, the hero is pretty broken.
The reason Esca is still here is because I'm pretty sure he is either their shotcaller or the morale/hype guy in the team. LTJ would be a massive upgrade IMO, but losing your leader can destroy team synergy and morale
I think you forget the "Our Taejun, Your Taejun" days. As much as I like EscA I will admit that he's not the best DPS mechanically but other than on Tracer I feel like he's still much more consistent than Taejun was on Tracer/Hog.
They've shown that they can play w/o EscA though, so if they can beef up their DPS and the flexibility they can bring. They have a strong core so I think they can be a top contender for some time.
I think all the experimenting we're seeing is to future proof themselves for when EscA needs to do his military service and also for when Jehong decides to retire. The org as a whole seems very intelligent in trying to make it so that no one player is solely responsible for their success.
