The scene has not evolved as expected with viewership being below expectations and Blizzard is yet to announce more details surrounding their upcoming Overwatch League.
Am I missing something or are Blizzard just fine with killing the prospects of a bunch of teams/players by causing orgs to leave and therefore have them get no salary? Seems like such a stupid move.
Yep its stupid. Blizzard are good at games, but sucks at esports.
But what you're saying is right. Teams need tournaments to invest in teams, so they can go profit, or earn money from the game. Blizzard barley have tournaments to OW.
