The North American tournament will be played May 22 to May 24 and the Asian tournament will be played on May 23 and May 24. The North American tournament has an extra day to accommodate a qualification tournament due to the larger number of teams.
Each tournament will have a $225,000 prize pool with the champions winning $40,000. The winner of each region's tournament will get three extra match wins, the runner-up will get two extra match wins, and the third and fourth place teams will get one extra match win.
Teams will be seeded for the tournament based on their performances in matches in the first three weeks of May. Every match in that time period will count toward seeding.
Hero pools will not be active for the tournaments.
Additionally, the schedule for May has been revealed. All 20 teams are scheduled to play next month.
The Overwatch League website released all of this information in a news post.
