Zeal joins the team as a replacement for fischer , who retired from competing in Overwatch last month. This will be Zeal's first Contenders season since he competed with Eternal Academy in Contenders 2019 Season 1.
Ding leaves HSL Esports after spending over half a year with the team. He played with HSL Esports for the 2019 Contenders Gauntlet and in their run in the Contenders 2020 Europe Seeding Tournament.
HSL will now need a new flex support player to replace Ding. Their roster currently has five players.
The starting date of the next Contenders season has yet to be revealed. HSL will play in the first Contenders Europe tournament of the season.
