, have announced their roster for their return to Contenders. Their roster will include the first imports to compete in Contenders Europe since Contenders 2018 Season 2.

Three of Eternal Academy's players last played for Talon Esports in Contenders Pacific. Those players--DPS Patiphan , main tank MuZe and main support CQB --helped Talon finish in the top six of the 2019 Contender's Gauntlet, a finished that was only bested by three Korean teams and one North American team.
They will be joined by a sizable number of Angry Titans alumni. DPS erki and flex support AFoxx had been on Angry Titans since before the team first entered Contenders in 2018. They were on the team until Angry Titans made all players and staff free agents in September. The team's head coach, David , joined Angry Titans in the latter half. The team's manager, Skwal , revealed he was the team's manager in December. He managed Angry Titans for most of 2019.
The last of Eternal Academy's staff and players have history with Europe's other academy team, the British Hurricane. DPS Tsuna played for the Hurricane throughout 2019 and off-tank Hafficool had been a member of the Hurricane from February 2018 to July 2019 when he left to join another academy team in Team Envy. The team's assistant coach, LeRenegat , spent most of 2019 as an analyst for the Hurricane.
The import of the Talon Esports players marks the first time a European Contenders team has brought on players from outside of the European Contenders region as permanent members of their roster since Contenders 2018 Season 2. That last team was Bazooka Puppiez, who played with Americans Insomniaq and Hawk.
This is also the first time a Taiwanese player will play for a Contenders team outside of the Pacific and Chinese regions. The only Taiwanese player to ever make it into the Overwatch League is Baconjack, who is a member of the Chengdu Hunters.
Eternal Academy hope to perform better in this season of Contenders than they did their last. The first Eternal Academy roster disbanded after they were relegated into Open Division after poor performances in Contenders 2019 Season 1 and the subsequent Contenders Trials season.
Their new roster will debut later this week when they compete in the Contenders Seeding Tournament.
