RhynO will be the youngest player competing in Contenders North America at just 13 years of age. He is the second player to join an Overwatch League academy team at 13--the first is Sugarfree, who joined ATL Academy in 2018 while he was still 13.

RhynO will be the second main tank player on the Uprising Academy roster. The team's other main tank is kraandop, who joined the team in November.

There are now seven players on the Uprising Academy roster. One of those players, off-tank Mouffin, is a two-way player.

RhynO joins Uprising Academy fresh off a top four finish at the NCS Grand Finals. That tournament concluded with a LAN final in Huntington Beach, California.

The Contenders season for Uprising Academy begins with a seeding tournament that starts January 6.
