Optidox is most well-known for his role on the coaching staff of the Toronto Defiant in the latter half of the 2019 season after the team shifted to fielding a mixed roster. He was promoted from their academy team to the Defiant in July. He split head coach duties with the Defiant's other coaches after Bishop left the team in August. He and the franchise split from each other in September.
Before he was an assistant coach of the Defiant, he was the head coach of the Defiant's academy team, the Montreal Rebellion. He was the coach of their team for two months before joining the Defiant. Prior to that, he was the head coach of Angry Titans.
While he was the head coach of Angry Titans, the team finished second in Contenders 2018 Season 3: Europe, first in Contenders 2019 Season 1 and third in the Atlantic Showdown. He did not complete a full season with the Rebellion.
At the time Optidox joined the Defiant, they were on a seven match losing streak and were 7-14 on the season. The Defiant went 1-6 after Optidox joined the staff.
Optidox was not with any team at the time he retired.
