face has had a star-studded career as a coach in the Asia-Pacific and Oceanic scenes. His most recent stint was with Talon Esports. Under his guidance, Talon emerged as the champions in Contenders 2019 Season 2 Pacific, and finished in the top six of the Gauntlet as the sole representative of the region. face also has two more championship trophies under his belt, winning the first two seasons of Contenders Australia as head coach of the Sydney Drop Bears.
This would not be his first time across the pond, however. face served as an assistant coach for the San Francisco Shock's now-defunct academy team, NRG Esports, from November 2018 to May 2019.
The Gladiators now have a total of four coaches on their staff, with face serving alongside head coach dpei and assistant coaches Faustus and CurryShot. They seek to outperform their performance in the past two seasons that saw the team finishing no higher than fifth in both postseasons.
The Gladiators have seven players under contract -- mostly new players acquired during this offseason -- with Void currently a free agent and Panker's status with the team currently unknown. Panker was subject to a team option at the beginning of the offseason. Barring the two players returning, the Gladiators require one more player to reach the League minimum of eight players before November 15.
