Kolsti revealed that he is retiring.

Kolsti took over as Uprising Academy's head coach shortly before the start of Contenders Trials 2019 Season 2 North America. Uprising Academy finished first in Trials that season and ended up qualifying for the playoffs of the subsequent Contenders season. They lost in the first round of the playoffs and finished in the top six of Contenders North America East as a result.

Spilo will be his replacement at head coach after coaching Phase 2 in the most recent Contenders season. Spilo coached Phase 2 to a top four finish in the same Contenders region as Uprising Academy. Prior to coaching Phase 2, Spilo coached the Sydney Drop Bears in Contenders Australia and Chicken Contendies in Contenders North America.

Uprising Academy are currently in the Contenders offseason. They do not have any matches scheduled until next year.
