First he's not a onetrick, amazing Widow, great McCree and good Soldier
Second if I had to pick 2 players to "save" during these first matches, are him and Manneten.

Well he won the Atlantic Showdown with TviQ, but not on Misfits they still were Rogue
Reinforce
TviQ
aKm
Winz
uNKOE
KnOxx
"But I do want you to know that we care and that we are very engaged in brainstorming solutions."
Yep a ban for the guy who reported the onetrick
Florida really has to change a lot...
Have to agree with Cam, he might not be top 2-3 at any of the roles he can play, but considering that felxibility has been Florida's main focus, and that he will find an environment that's "familiar" (no KO, no ultra young NA player, but old EU veterans he's been playing with/vs for years), there are positive aspects.
The 2 DPS are really something, that 1st Oasis map Undead completely dominated Pine.
Honestly think they improved a lot since the 1st week, still at the bottom of the lot probably, but at least closing the gap.
Really happy for the man, gonna miss his chill morning (EU time) Streams while at work, but eager to see him in the OWL.
Makes sense even if I hope enroll is the option and not swap, these guys are celarly grinding and improving, not only their fault.
They delayed it for those extra 2 teams, so yes they might very well be Acadamey Team, have to amdit a bit of hype here. :)
I was just thinking, so the 2 top western rosters not worth being picked for OWL were Rogue and Giantti?
Doesn't look like the chemistry and dominance of EnvyUS (NA) and Misfits (EU) has translated to OWL...
They are back and sadly agree (I'm a Fusion boi), and they also still have HOTBA.
Good chances for an upset, which is Fuel winning, I hope not, but might very well happen.
Yeh TwoEasy has always been salty af, but also fun to read. :)
I doubt the Fuel will sign more guys, I mean signing aKm must have been pretty expensive and they already have a 9 men roster.
Well yes he was very aggrressive but they won tournaments (only in EU) with him, the issue was that but also that his skills on Winston were clearly sub-par and he wasn't flexible at all.
That's why they picked a Genji main and turned him into a Winston, btw CWoosH's Genji was very good when he was playing for Movistar Raiders.
To be comletely honest, as much as I like Reinforce, and was sad about him being excluded from both the team and the national, he wasn't himself the most complete main tank around.
I'm still wondering why (monetary reasons asides, which is not small stuff I agree), knowing they were going to be on OWL already, they couldn't keep both him and CWoosH.
Nice another interview! Gratz guys!
TviQ looks so tried :/
Is that confirmed? If so yes brighter future for sure!!
Or a less aggressive main tank, but maybe yes just a matter of more grinding chemistry a bit more.
Have to agree, even if "just" for those extra ultra kills.
Anyway GG Valiant, and sneaky Soon in action again.
I missed SDB so much, they might probably lose this match, but damn if he can carry at times.
Benchokusai :(
To be honest as much as I think he's a great player, as long as they keep winning in such a fashin with their current roster..
#FREEALLBENCHBOIS
Damn they are looking pretty dominant tbh
Hehe trust me I'm not a Mercy lover (being forced onto her way too often myself, and realy don't like her), but is worth remembering that DPS player were very very vocal against the triple tank meta as well, and for good reasons.
"With Ana and 3 tanks you never get a kill, is the sponge effect, no skill required just spam" (not actual words, just a sum up of what they were saying)
I honestly never had anything against the tank meta, also 'cause there were teams who were able to actually win without being forced into it (Rogue for one).
Again I'm just wondering, chances are in some days/weeks a completely diff meta will arise, but I'm pretty positive the tanks are back
That's true, and they were by far the strongest reagion in the west during that period thou, which is why I was asking the question.
IF (that's a pretty big if right now) the tank meta comes back (in the end the majority of western OWL players are EU ones) and hits also OWL, some crazy scenarious might open, even more so for some of the teams who were complaining about the "Mercy meta" but onlly have 1 decent main tank and 1 off tank (yes Mayhem I'm looking at you).
I honestly don't know, was just watching these matches and on some maps we had 3 tanks on attack and 4 on defense, in general 3 tanks as an average, with some quick switches back to dive, Moira on both teams and Ana/Lucio as 2nd support, the ones with 3 tanks had maybe a Junkrat and/or Reaper to complete the roster.
I'm like Jon Snow, I just watch and wonder, then come here and ask to people who probably understand/see things better than me. :)
So, I was just watching the Pit Championship, as much as we are speaking of the first days after the patch, and not OWL...
Do you guys think we'll see the 3 tank meta come back now? Just with Moira now?
I honestly like the answer from the Mexican guy, proves me even further how the SA guys are right.
Mexico is NA, servers are in Cali (aren't they?) so basically next door, they should be asking more room in the NA scene for Contenders (I know unlikely to happen but you get the point), instead of rebuking the SA guys who are in my eyes rightfully asking to be allowed to play ALL their games on SA servers.
Even looking at it from a "Neutral" position, let's move forwards some months to Contender SA, there will be forced SA servers, why should there be 1 (or more teams) who keep playing with horrible pings? Will the quality overall be better? How will it improve the scene at all?
Just adding 1 thing: I used to use hax now i have Shax!
True, but you also have in-game tools (speaking always of Dota2) to check stats/gather more data on your own.
I used to watch a lot of Dota 2 (used to play it quite a bit as well) and ended up sticking for the majority of the game to what the actual casters were spectating while checking on my own other stats that were ingored during the match.
But agree Overwatch is a "completely" different genre, and it works well as it is, yet... damn I really wish I could just get into SDB's POV too :D
Number crunching is always good imo, makes space for nice discussions, call'em bar discussions, but that's what keeps the interest in a game alive.
As poi said Blizzard is working on it, doubt that anyone outside of the "circle" (with proper access to all in-game stats) would be able to put something together besides the more general consideations, best maps for each teams, best matchups, etc.
I know this will NEVER happen in OWL, and probably is best this way, but you don't know how much I'd like to be able to watch the matches in-game (e.g. Dota2).
I know it's usually for teams, but...
:candle:
GL to Zave in Battalion
Totally agree with you poi, but there are various reasons imo:
Instead of fostering the EU scene Blizzard "invested" in the Tespa Collegiate (just found out that ZP is casting/gonna cast that?), which don't get me wrong is a very good thing, young players are the future of every sport/esport, but then again NA despite the huge pool of possible players, due to sheer numbers of population, is not a strong region for esports (yet?).
Moving underage players to a foreign country is harder than doing it with more adult ones (parents, legislature/visas, etc...).
And what you already point out, IF they want to bank on the "home town team" effect, especially for young teams they have to utilize local talents, else it simply doesn't work.
Holy... Shax carry, and Kruise fragging on Mercy 3-4 kills/map.
Damn mate you keep pumping them out like crazy!
Great job!
Just as a question, since I'm not questioning at all AKM's skills (I was one of the guys crying for him not being picked in OWL), but wouldn't have been better taking another off-tank?
For example I know that now Harb is on Kungarna but imo would have complemented well Mickie, I know Effect can play a sick Zarya, but his Tracer/McCree are simply top class, they already have Harry for those cases when you absolutely need a soldier and the rest of the heroes that AKM is currently strong on are already covered (to some extent).
Again nothing wrong in picking one of the best (if not THE best) DPS player still free, I'ìm just wondering if it might cause some internal issues.
Effect new meta, at least for the Fuel.
Never said I hate him, don't even know him, but if I have to choose between the clearly awkward Finnish dude and the ultra cocky NA one... I'd probably pick the cool(matt) one. :)
Jokes asides, Huston is strong so they don't need my support (that's how I reason, I know silly), for the same reason why even if I root for the Fusion, in tehir match vs the Dragons I was hoping for a Chinese vicotry... I'm just like that, love the underdogs :P
'cause Jake is All-American, and with the right attitude to please the American crowd.
Needles to say as an European I don't find that over the top cockiness enjoyable and it's the reason why I'm not rooting for the Huston, stupid reason I know, but eh. :)
Well ok there's another "little" difference, Finnland gift to esports, I truly belive without him Huston would be half of what they currently are (for reference the matches they played with Clockwork).
Lol yeh my usual "on spot" predictions :D
End of game one stats shows what's the big difference, main tank, Iremiix has to stepup (or the team cover him more)
And damn edits since I keep butchering his name :/
LAG looks better and better every week that passes by, this one is a close I guess (not the 4-0 Jake wishes)
Completely agree, even thou I'm wondering who could they bring in to shuffle up the team? And how much will it take for whoever comes in to integrate?
Best of luck in your fight mate, don't give up!
Lol subtitles for Soon's English? :)
Yep makes even more sense if they knew the ruleset for the servers.
God Mr X still doens't get why guys pick Hanzo to start off Dorado
Ouch, tbh why are MX teams playing in the SA region? Geographically speaking they are way closer to NA than SA.
Holy... Dreamkazper is popping off
For the same reasons they dind't end up having him for the beginning of the season?
He had trials for them and "didn't work" (he doesn't want to be benched, they already have 3 DPS players, etc...), of course things have changed and I'll only be happy to be proven wrong.
